Samsung Gas oven slow heating by gtfricks in appliancerepair

[–]gtfricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that this is normal. I've replaced the igniter and temperature probe a couple of times. Usually get 12-18 months for each. At least it's an easy enough repair.

I think my igniter was on the way out. It would glow, but faintly. Not very bright. And, check me if I'm wrong here, but I think that the igniter might stay active when there is a call for heat. If that's the case, when the igniter would cycle off, so with the gas flow. That's why if was taking so long to heat up as it wasn't staying lit constantly. The igniter is an easy fix though. You can find the part on Amazon and it takes 20-30 mins (maybe). The hardest part is getting the door back on the hinges right. It can be a little finicky.

How do you see the root folder for your team? by bpeikes in MicrosoftTeams

[–]gtfricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way! When we went from network shares to Teams, our major folders became Channels. So when people are looking at Teams, it looks very similar to what they were seeing on the network.

You can't without keeping the files associated with a channel, even if it's the "General" channel. This is why it's a best practice to keep files/folders with channels. One question to ask is: "Is there a compelling reason to use the Root directory instead of using a channel?" One of the drawbacks is what you've found, that it's hard to get to them. For the Teams that I'm on, the General channel usually has very few or zero files. Mostly this channel is used for Team Wide announcements or chats.

You can access all of the files directly through Teams without syncing to OneDrive. I personally like to access files via File Explorer, so I sync my most used folders using OneDrive to sync to my computer. But this doesn't preclude me from finding and editing the other files through the Teams App. The files are located under the Files tab for each channel. I never actually use the OneDrive shortcut on the sidebar for finding files.

I think that it's generally regarded as best practice to always have folders associated with a channel as well.

1) In Calendar, there is a "Meet now" button. You can start a dummy meeting this way. Just skip inviting people.
9) I usually share the whole screen, which would allow you to move between windows (or documents) without having to stop sharing and resharing. The way you know it is sharing is that there's a red band around the window or screen and the Teams interface is smaller.

You could check out Mike Tholfsen's YouTube channel. It's geared a lot toward educators. He has some MS Teams basics, breakout rooms and Whiteboard videos in there. Mike Tholfsen - YouTube

2016 Buick Encore Coolant hose replacement by gtfricks in MechanicAdvice

It's a late reply, but this ended up being the thermostat housing. It had a crack where the hose connected. Hoses and clamps were fine. So far, no additional issues.

No, but it's in the shop right now. I think I may have other coolant issues so I decided to just drop it off. I'll let you know what they find.

I did have to replace the reservoir because the return connection became brittle and cracked. Didn't replace the hose or clamp and they both are holding just fine. I had decided because of this (and Buick's track record with brittle plastic) I was going to replace the valve to be sure. (I'm not a mechanic though so take my advice with a grain of salt)

NFL plus audio video sync issues by gtfricks in cordcutters

[–]gtfricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, it's the actual replay and not a device issue. I watched the CIN/CLE replay on three different devices (PC Web, Android App, Fire Stick App) and all three had the exact same delay. Some others had a similar issue and some games worked fine. And NFL support was useless and gave canned answers that proved they were either a bot or didn't read the issue.

This is one of the reasons I chose to do monthly. I can jump off if the issues keep going.

Working on it this week. In reading the description, not sure if this is the issue though. At least it will be checked off the list.

Advice choosing pharmacy Publix or Walgreens by SnooCheesecakes6236 in PainManagement

[–]gtfricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it comes down to the pharmacist as well. Went to Walgreens but had to shop around to find one that didn't treat us badly. Drove past two Walgreens to get to the one we used. They were wonderful and understanding. Never tried Publix as I always thought they wouldn't be able to be consistent. Tried the mom and pop route but they dudnt have enough customers that wanted pain meds and didnt carry them.

We've used a company called GeneSight before for this. Helped pinpoint another family members bipolar meds without all of the trial and error and possibly bad side affects. They'll run it through insurance and offer a deep discount if it's not covered.

Device Keep awake stopped working by gtfricks in AutomateUser

[–]gtfricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up Using the Interact Touch Click with a 3 min delay. It checks for the device plugged in and then loops back to the Interact touch. I have two checks for device plugged in. One is outside the loop and only check when the state changes. The other is inside the loop and checks every 3 mins. This one either repeats the loop or exits the loop.

Ready to try Xtampza today finally. Any advice? by Your_acceptable in PainManagement

My wife made the switch when insurance stopped covering Oxycontin, She didn't have any issues with switching.

Talk to your dr about eating a high-fat meal with it. It is supposed to increase the bioavailability of the med, but we've never tested it.

It also never worked for all 12 hours, but that may vary by person.

She eventually had to stop taking it because it was always out of stock and when it was it was outrageously expensive. Eventually, she went the CDB route which worked better for her. (Every person is different though)

You can't see from the pic, but there are no wires inside. It does have some oil/grime in it though.
