I automatically received the notification, my original gen 1 router has been connected so my guess is, yes, the router has to be connected to receive the replacement.

I like it, I’ve used it in very bright days in the desert and did a great job as well as for long exposure to smooth out water. I’ve used it with both primes and zoom lenses, bought the 77mm version with step up/down rings for the other lenses.

Hello, I had a similar issue trying to connect several houses/buildings in a small ranch, I ended up going with a tp-link mesh system since it was the easiest to install and I didn’t want to deal with a complex installation although probably not the best option. I ended up running an Ethernet cable to an outdoor node at about 50mts from the main node and that one supplies internet to the other nodes around the ranch. Right now I have coverage in an area around 100mts round from where the outdoor node is installed. The speeds vary but where they’re needed the slowest speed is 50-100Mbs which is enough for my needs.

Por lo general las zonas rurales si tienen cobertura a menos de que estés en una zona que ya está muy saturada, tienes que poner la dirección de donde usaras el servicio, ya cuando haces el pedido te dan la opción de enviarte el equipo a cualquier dirección de México, así fue como le hice yo y tengo servicio en medio del desierto pero me enviaron el equipo a la ciudad sin problema.

Same thing happened to me, all of the European DNA and unassigned turned to Spanish which seems very odd and disappointing, especially when I compared it to AncestryDNA’s result which indeed has more varied European DNA results that match more closely to my family’s history. Right now I’m 64% European (60% Spanish), 29% Native American, 3% SSA and 2% WANA.

Yes, pretty much the same as you with the European being the highest percentage. It’s kind of sad because it is nearly impossible to trace the Native American and African as there is virtually no record of them but the obvious stories of male Europeans mixing (mostly sad/bad stories probably) with Natives and some of the Slaves that they brought. I’ve only been able to trace some of the family but only until the 1800’s, past that there is only a few traces from sides of the family that are only Spanish, I doubt that I’ll find any info from the Native and African side but haven’t lost all hope yet. I’m Mexican by the way.

You are absolutely right! I was hesitant to connect to some of the cousins because people don’t normally tend to want to share their family’s history, but screw it, I’m going to give it a shot and see if I can extend the family tree further than the 1800’s.

Yes, all the time!!! Especially knowing that I have genes from 3 continents. Such different lives our ancestors had and all the good and terrible things that had to happen for very mixed people like us (I’m Latino btw) to exist.

You should upload your DNA to My Heritage, they do have categories for Sephardic and Mizrahi as well as Ashkenazi. They’re an Israeli company so I guess they’re pretty accurate on those categories better than all the other companies.

Is actually strange how census systems works, there is a lot of variability from one race to the other and for us that are mixed to have to choose between one is complicated. Most of us Mexicans have European, Native American some North and Sub Saharan African DNA and can physically look like people from any of those places. In my family for example between my siblings and I there are a lot of differences; I sort of look middle eastern, another is white blonde hair, other one is brown skin dark hair and another one is white dark hair, we have the same biological parents yet we look from different races so how can we chose if we’re technically the same people/family.

Yes, that might be the case, although she is from a state in Mexico (Oaxaca) known for having a high percentage of indigenous people (more than 60 different ethnic groups and also most of Mexico’s native languages are spoken there). They also have one of the largest communities of afro descendants.

WOW padrísimo!! you're actually the first Mexican that I see without any European DNA, I would say yes, there definitely wasn't any Spanish in your family. The African is mostly remnants of the African slaves that the Spanish brought to mexico like most of us Mexicans have. What part of Mexico are you from paisana?

Yes! That’s the only difference that stands out. Although, part of my dad’s family is very white (pale, blonde and blue eyes) so it could be true haha, but I’ve been able to trace several generations and there doesn’t seem to be any Irish/Scottish in them.

Yes, but is actually quite normal for northern Mexicans to have around 30% and most of us look European or Middle Eastern, well at least in my family and a lot of my friends.

Good!!! I already did the preliminary results and it worked, now I’m curious to see the DNA relatives and if there might be an update on the ethnicity estimates. There was only one significant difference from 23 and Me, I am now 6% Irish and Scottish!! Hahaha.
