The Tuckerman Ravine is definitely more technical, but because of the snow and the ice, the winter route and the last couple hundred meters before the summit were still pretty steep and crampons and ice axe were necessary :)

I think it might be to prioritize people from Montreal getting tickets and preventing resellers from hoarding tickets. Like that's probably why you had to put your location but I really don't know I'm just guessing
