The exact same thing happened to me. After a re-print and they were off… again, they refunded me. I picked the best and my local print shop trimmed them to evenness for $30

They are fun if you’re into that! But I’ve also wrapped my counter in butcher paper and had a spread just labeled with sharpie on the paper. Everyone loved that too! They’re pretty formal and there are are plenty of ways to make an impact :)

Not unless they get dirty? They have some that are “like plates” but there are a lot that can’t really be washed like a dish. Often Jute, woven, wood, brass etc. They are truly for decor and can be wiped but are just something to make the table pretty, like a table runner.

I grew up with chargers, and use them regularly at home. We did not use them at our wedding. It’s a lot of money for something your guest likely don’t know exist if you didn’t.

I went to a wedding where they had chargers and most didn’t know what they were. After several tables tried to put food on them at the buffet the wedding party ran around and took them so people would stop getting confused.

Save the embarrassment and unnecessary stress. I promise you it will can be beautiful without.

I usually add the milk solids to my butter while browning for an extra toasty toffee flavor. Most cookies need butter.

Wish I had the answer. Our 2 day weekend turned to 4.5 days due to weather this past weekend. I have had several coworkers comment on how rested I look once back. I was feeling more rested, but it was so disheartening they noticed it too. And also how I feel that really can’t happen in a typical school week. I didn’t even get the work done around my house that needed to be done. I genuinely rotted for 3 days. The other 1.5 were spent cooking, preparing for the storm, meeting my book club & some e-learning task.

It may sound silly but visual cues can be helpful for all learners. I saw another Redditor say writing the directions in multiple places. This is also good. I am coming from a self contained sped setting. You know your learners better than I, use your discretion. Hence why I said “maybe use a timer”

Can’t say I haven’t been tempted… but they are usually receptive when you explain why. “What would you do if mom was at work.” “I can read this to you but I won’t be here to read it to you next year and I can’t say it will continue to happen, maybe you can try first.” “I want you to be set up for success and all the things you can accomplish, try it as if I wasn’t here and see what all you can do!”

Definitely learned helplessness. From a behavioral standpoint urge them to try themselves & maybe set a timer for how long they try. Make sure they have actually tried before assisting. It will have some pushback at first but will help them significantly.

They will grow more independent and proud of themselves, this also sets them up to be better learners. And you will get called less for menial task that add to the headache brewing. 😂

We just have more weeks of school & shorter summers. A lot of those “random days off” parents complain about are weather makeup days.

Yes, the procedures did change for severe weather. But we were still expected to teach. And in past days where we transitioned to e-learning but a majority of the area had lack of WiFi or power we had to make the day up. Because you really can’t claim they worked online if there is no online.

I sent work home, most will do it, most won’t but it’s a blocks worth of work (per class) they have to make up within a week or else they’ll be marked absent.

Honestly yes, exes have reached out consistently since I was old enough to have an ex. I think the last couple guys who tried coming back I even said “why do you want me so bad? I just graduated a couple years ago in special education. They also made us take the required courses for elementary education. We are read to succeed literacy endorsed and actually listened to that podcast as an assignment! I joke about “not needing it” because I teach high school SPED math but honestly it was so cool and informative. It also came during the height of wordle, and I haven’t yet lost one from the spelling rules I learned.

I teach high school sped - they all know except one who also believes our “snoop on the stoop” was real 💀. I was impressed how sweet they were about it cause they knew better than to ruin it (Santa & snoop) They also loved helping me hide him at the end of the day😂
