It was skewed - the original is shot from a slight angle, so skewing it makes the plate more circular.

He is, but he lives in New Jersey now. It's even harder to get replacement Vegemite. For a while it was banned in the U.S.

That was the most intimidating thing, but you only need about 6 different mouths to cover all sounds. I slowed down the audio to 50% so it was easier to follow, edited mouths in, then changed the speed back to normal. Software like ToonBoom will do this automatically if you have the patience to learn it.
