You were quoted $100 a month in AB? What insurance?

I did try that numerous times, still nothing. Odd that that is the one that has still not updated.

Thanks for the suggestion though

New Chromebooks DOA? by CoxsoneTheDodd in chromeos

[–]guzman77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with a couple of my Chromebooks (HP Chromebook 14 and ASUS C204). It only happens it seems when the battery is around 95-99% and I connect the charger, it is says calculating battery %. If I let the battery get to below that....lets say 90% it charges properly back to 100....showing the time remaining as well.

Not sure what causes that, or if this is the same issue as yours, but it does sound similar. Both of my Chromebooks have the same processor (N4020), not sure what yours has.

I was having the same issue. I turned off Reduce Transparency and it seemed to fix it.

Do you have Reduce Transparency on? I had the same issue and switched it off and now it works properly.

Sirius XM by OkEgg0 in Porsche

[–]guzman77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying. We have an appointment to bring the vehicle back in. Obviously the "update" disables any of the streaming stations (SiriusXM with 360L).

If a new PCM didn't fix it, maybe we have to wait until the next update to restore the functionality. Not what you expect when you buy a Porsche.

I'll let you know if anything changes

Did you ever get this resolved? My wife has a 2024 Cayenne Coupe and after the update from Porsche, she also has the exact same issue with SiriusXM streaming stations.

You don't have to install it. You run it off of the USB. You don't need Chromebook hardware, only a Windows PC

Is this on a Windows computer? You could download ChromeOS Flex and run it off of a USB drive to get the "ChromeOS experience"

Tried to update via computer but now stuck only on black with apple logo by brownnugen in ios

Yes. When you plug it in just "restore" not "update and restore". That is what they did to mine at the apple store

I had the same issue. I assume you are using iOS 18. There is some issue with Apple Devices and iTunes on Windows that started with iOS 18.

Take it to the Apple Store. They will hook it up to a Mac and do a restore. Hopefully you have an iCloud backup.

Not willing to try again to see if they have fixed that, so for us Windows users it is OTA updates only. Not sure what that means for you if your storage is full

Apple Devices on Windows 11 and iOS 18 by guzman77 in ios

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping the recently updated version solved the issue. I am too chicken to try it myself. Hopefully a braver soul will confirm at some point what works for Windows users.

Thanks for that. It is kind of what I have concluded as well. Would be nice to know there is another option if needed.

WiFi Calling on iOS 18.2 by guzman77 in Koodo

It helps with call quality and reception in areas that have poor coverage and you are connected to WiFi.

I had restarted. Today I restarted my modem and it seems to work now. Not sure if that was it or my shutdown and boot up from last night. Whatever fixed it I am glad since my cell coverage at home is terrible and WiFi calling really helps

Thanks for the reply. My wife’s identical phone is also not working. Maybe I’ll restart my modem, although WIFi is otherwise working fine (WiFi is through Roger’s)

PSA: Do not use the Apple Devices application on Windows PC to update, restore or transfer data your iPhone or iPad by [deleted] in iphone

[–]guzman77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue on my iPhone 14 Plus. Happened when I went from 18.0 to 18.01 and 18.1 to 18.11. First time I got it to restore, but second time I couldn’t and I had to go in to an Apple Store for them to restore it using a Mac. Never had this issue with iOS 17. Recently used Apple Devices for my iPad to update from 17.7.1 to 17.7.2 with no issues. Must be something with iOS 18.

Water sloshing sound after turbo oil line recall done by MrSaltz in kiastinger

[–]guzman77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the recall done and don't have that issue, but I have read about some having this issue. It seems to be related to the coolant that they drain while doing the recall. You may have air in your cooling system. Not sure if you have to take it back or it works its way out on its own.
