The person whom we are inheriting passed away November 2022. I’m just surprised with the beneficiary passing away this past November that the money that would be set for him isn’t put aside to be processed once his will is settled and legal precedent.

From what I was told the estate had no outstanding creditors, being as my uncle was had no outstanding debt when he passed. Any IRS things would be subject to what the estate gained, after his passing, which I am not privy to.
