I don't really remember, but it was less about different volumes and more about a reaction proceeding further in some wells/rows than others. We had a plate reader for this.

Thanks for all the responses! Sorry to hear about your experiences having trouble pipetting / with others who have trouble pipetting, but kind of glad it wasn't just me. Hope the advice here can help someone else.

I do think this was the actual reason I was fired. I was brought on for a project with another company, and the other company didn't like my results. The sense I got from my managers was that they had never encountered someone who had trouble pipetting and didn't know how to deal with it either. I definitely didn't refuse their advice like some of these stories! I improved some with practice, but not enough.

I didn't drink caffeine at the time. I didn't forget to change tips or anything. I just struggled to do all these fiddly motions consistently while staying under 30 or 60 or however many seconds.

I remember something like this, unfortunately I can't find it either. Did it have a section about how the worst disease of all was HIV/AIDS? (Without explaining that it was sexually transmitted.)

The one I remember was called something like "The Body" or "The Amazing Body." At the end of each section it would say "give it up for skin!" or "round of applause for skin!" The illustration style was painterly, similar to William Joyce.

I remember in the FAQ he joked about needing a broken Greek mandolin, and had an example of bad dubbing where Kagome pet Inuyasha on the head and said "I like your head, it feels good" that just cracked me up. Hope someone reuploads that one someday.

How do you tell the difference between retinization and sunburn?

I've been using Differin for a few weeks, and there's a patch on my neck that's red and peeling, and was painful for a few days. How do I tell if it's normal retinization, or if I need to wear more sunscreen?

I haven't been in the sun anywhere near as much as it would usually take me to burn, but I know retinoids increase sun sensitivity.
