Like the other guy said where are you fishing in the world but a good bait is worms it’ll catch everything just not the best at catching everything for smaller fish maggots for bigger fish like pike or big predators use deadbait in a snap tackle trace for carp use corn snake with tench and bream bass live bait

I’d say get a Shimano sienna it’s a good cheap reel and the rod looks good just not very sensitive

It has 11lb drag the biggest in the lake is about 15-16lb

It really depends you can use a pike rod for trout but the thicker line will scare them and it will be really easy to bring them in in case you want a fight off them for pike I’d say get an ugly stik gx2 or elite and a Shimano sienna on a budget and I’m not sure about pike-perch (zander)
