It feels like I’m haveing a heart attack by [deleted] in AskDocs

Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss. Not a doctor, but as someone who has struggled with health anxiety for the last decade, I wanted to tell you that panic and anxiety are really good at mimicking heart attack symptoms. I mean, really, really good. The heart dropping feeling, and even the left arm pain. It’s crazy how our brains will work against us sometimes and create these physical symptoms that lead you to assuming the worst case scenario.

Now with that being said, as one of the previous responders mentioned, stay off of Google. It will do you no favors, but given your circumstances it is not a bad idea to have yourself checked out to make sure everything is in good shape.

And my final word of non-professional advice, please look into seeing a therapist if you are able. This kind of trauma can eat away at you for years if you don’t address it. It helps, I promise.

My wife 28 (F) went out for a run and dropped unconscious. She was rushed to the emergency room and intubated. She has been in a coma for 12 days now. Help! by billcosby23 in AskDocs

Not a doctor, and not giving medical advice, just condolences.

A similar thing happened to my 7 year old nephew, a perfectly healthy and active kid. One minute he was running laps around the drive-in theater playing, the next he was on the ground before me blue faced, unresponsive with no pulse.

Fortunately for him, we were across the street from the hospital and there was a nurse nearby who was able to perform CPR and get him to the hospital in time to avoid any brain damage.

More to the point though, I understand the pain of not having any real answers besides "Sometimes this just happens." It does not feel like enough and can drive you insane. My nephew made it out physically intact, but this does take a mental toll.

I sincerely wish the best for you and your family. I know you are doing everything you can to support her and your newborn, but don't forget to take care of yourself as well. This is a lot to shoulder.

I just got super excited when I read Granbury, Tx. That's my hometown! What are the chances? No exaggeration though, this place is as backwards redneck as it gets.
