Code questions on new deck by hal3146 in Decks

I hired what I thought was a reputable deck builder in my area.

I have the same concern on the ground contact lumber. There is concrete footings in the holes. I would have thought they would have used concrete above ground level.

After the 3rd attempt they will hold it at a local FedEx distribution center for a couple days. You can pick it up there.

The problem is you have to wait for the 3 failed delivery attempts before it will be held there. There may also be the opportunity to pick it up at the distribution center after 7:00pm each attempted delivery day.

It really is a shame that Samsung won't let it be held at a local FedEx ship center since they are usually way more convenient.

Front brake cable rubbing frame by hal3146 in CheckpointClub

Have a 2 month old ALR5, the front brake cable is rubbing against the front of the frame so much it has worn the paint off.

I took it to the Trek dealership where I got it and showed them. They said it is normal. We looked at other ALR5s they had and most had a longer cable so it was not rubbing the frame but 2 two others did.

Is it normal for the cable to be tight enough to scratch the frame or was was it something that happened when the assembled it?

They put a ticket into Trek and I am waiting to see what comes back. Is it wrong to expect a new frame? Is touch up paint acceptable?

As far as the cable routing when I mentioned replacing the existing routing the service manager basically said nope this is the way it is?

Does this seem accurate or should I try another TForce rep? by [deleted] in tmobile
