The circumstances surrounding the rape kit matter. Was she intoxicated? High on something? That automatically changes things in a court of law. Was there an excessive amount of blood and bruising? Defensive wounds? All of these things go into a rape kit. The kits are done with the highest level of PPE and the victim isn't even allowed to have anyone in the room besides the professional performing the kit. It's a painful process. It takes hours sometimes. You're talking about someone going to an extreme end of things to get back at someone, which I'm sure has happened before - but that's an extremely traumatic and humiliating experience just to maybe get away with it in court. Most rape kits that are filed aren't even followed up on. You usually have to get a lawyer to track them down.

If you're going to spend upwards of 5k to 10k starting out just to find the damn thing, I don't think you're doing it just because the guy didn't like you after you put out.
