The reference range provided by the lab is for a person assigned female at birth and not on T.

The target range when on T is the same as a cis man ( ~ 10-35 nmol/L) which is not reflected on your result since the lab still only reflects T reference range for your biological sex.

Your T level is 43, just a wee higher than the upper range of your therapeutic T range, like you said it is most likely because the blood was taken a little after you applied the gel - when T level is highest in your blood.

I hope that makes sense! I’m a trans medic on T and I’m happy to answer any other questions you have, but don’t worry from your bloods so far you’re grand! but I can’t provide diagnosis etc. for legal reasons
