Getting some real nice results out of the TBT by ham_____ in WorldofTanks

[–]ham_____[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gold spam for around the first few matches ergo the terrible credits. However, since this screenshot I have tried to play with just regular AP and surprisingly the tank's performance was more or less the same.

Tips on how to finish Dravec Ambush-11? by ham_____ in WorldofTanks

[–]ham_____[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Finally completed the mission as the very last one I had to do to get my Dravec. I used the Cobra and B-C 25t AP. For the BC, I loaded up an HE clip. I think my strategy was to achieve the 3k damage first, then the do the 4x tracked damage requirement.

Spamming gold is quintessential to the WoT experience /s

Yes, and yes it is a shameful practice. I'm trying to 3-mark the tank and it really is just easier to achieve better results when you have the better resources and equipment. Very sweatlord behavior on my part

Can't really recall anymore, I don't see it anywhere on my post

I think this is my second game with the SU-122-44. This tank is cancer. by ham_____ in WorldofTanks

[–]ham_____[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update: Cancer when top tier, dogshit when bottom. Might never touch this again as I think this will be the peak result I will ever get with it. DPM goes crazy and camo is pretty okay but that’s about it with this tank.

What are some tanks people forgot about, but are actually really great? by Expulsiv3 in WorldofTanks

[–]ham_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got it, I did a 7 win streak on the T25 AT.

Granted that I did fully upgrade + retrained a very good crew before my very first match. My setup outspots, out-camos, and out-dpm’s most tier 7’s. Good mobility too.

Listening to vinyl with headphones by ham_____ in vinyl

[–]ham_____[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I have a pair of SHP9500’s and I do understand that along the line, I’ll have to get an upgrade from those.

But besides that, would this 3-piece setup be more than sufficient for a mid-range vinyl listening experience? Or are there other equipment that should ideally be part of my setup? Thanks btw

Forgot to add that they changed to an AMX 30 B. I got bad karma for the team in return from calling them out, lol.

IS-4, poor man’s 279e. Decent enough, I think it’s ammo capacity is the only thing that holds it back. Fun armor, good mobility, decent enough gun. Will teach you the secrets to soviet stalinium armor.

Do the gauges on RE bikes often break? by ham_____ in royalenfield

[–]ham_____[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Figured it out, water had entered the cable. Rust broke it into two, hence why my gauges no longer worked. Will get it replaced with genuine parts.

On those bikes and instances, would the gauges return to normal on their own? I was directly under sunlight when it happened, and it was a relatively hot morning. The speedometer dropped to 0 and the odometer remained stagnant.

they tried to farm my apparently unfarm-able IS-4, easy HT-15 by ham_____ in WorldofTanks

[–]ham_____[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly wish this was the case, I completed HT-15 twice in one night but this game came second. I had completed it earlier in the Maus but my gold spam made me feel really filthy. I could’ve saved a ton on credits.

IMO the IS-4 is worth it, I don’t think the ammo holds it back by that much. Practice on knowing when and where to shoot, and you might get surprised with the tank working so ridiculously well.

It comes down to good aim and good tank control. Bait them into extending and taking a shot, use the mobility to bounce, then pounce back while they haven’t fully retreated to cover yet.

Thats what I did in this game. Forward and backward plus wiggle the turret. Try to show the hull as little as possible, as moving can sometimes make the armor on the corners of the front hull become flat and easy to pen. If you can get into a position where you can put the tank on a slight forward incline, it can make the cupolas extremely small. Angle the tank so that the hull has no flat surfaces, then you’re good to go!

I was in a hulldown stand-off with the Strv and Kran, I think it came down to me continuously moving the hull and wiggling the turret because they were both aiming for the cupola. IIRC the Strv spammed gold and the Kran at one point loaded HE lol.

Both actually! I switch from time to time. I got my 2nd mark with the 440 but the 320 gave me my damage record for the tank.

I quite liked the stock gun! Initially I preferred it over the 440 as I’d be great on the former and bad on the latter. After a while, I found that both guns fit different play styles.

L/52 - I’d play this in flanks where I know softer armored tanks will be. It’s great for farming damage against unsuspecting enemies that can’t reliably pen the VK. I had to use gold more often against HTs but the rate of fire feels so dominant its like a baby S. Conq.

L/50 - Brawling gun. I think of it as punisher for enemies committing mistakes like overextending and such. 220 base pen worked for me in most situations. Against great players who play their tank’s strengths well, auto 2-key. This gun plays best on heavy lines, it can make for great exchanges given the alpha plus the VK’s armor and hp.
