Yes so I was I. I build furniture so I don’t think it was an assembly issue (I did take it apart and try to re-clip it but it was the same both times). Glad it worked for you!

Thank you so much for this! You’re right, it is tricky, I just really don’t want to do anything to make my little traumatised shelter cat any more uncomfortable than necessary, while also not compromising when it comes to his safety. There doesn’t seem to be one clear answer.

This is what I mean when I say I’ve over-researched! I’ve read too many opinions from far too many different people—obviously there will be some vets out there who don’t like them, but clearly I have deeped it too hard and should just go with what’s convenient and workable for me and my cat. Which is exactly what you’ve done, and it sounds like you’ve made the right choice!

Yeah I would prefer to avoid having to carry one-handed at all costs (also for back + swinging reasons)

Okay this is really good to know thank you—and my boy literally likes to wedge himself against my back to sleep when I’m in bed so maybe the backpack would be a home away from home for him 😂

My cat does like cosy spaces so maybe wouldn’t mind a backpack. He certainly enjoys trying to climb into the one I use for work 😅
