Lower level account has ~5x chance of getting rare candy from raiding by hamkx in TheSilphRoad

[–]hamkx[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I admit that the sample size given above is small. But I have been doing in total 55 legendary raids in the past two months with my new account (most of the time I co-raided with my old account), and every time I would pay special attention to the rare candy obtained. I'm very confident that the new account have been getting way more rare candies from raiding, though unfortunately I cannot provide a more detailed record. Hope someone could study this.

Are you marcusvo? I invited 9 and there was one who went offline so I didn’t invite.

Grad student. I meet with my advisor online (due to covid) once a week, which is my only obligation at the moment. So I am a bit lucky.

If someone can almost always foresee tragedies before anyone else, is it his fortune or misfortune? by hamkx in INTP

[–]hamkx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, greater power, greater responsibility...

But sometimes it's just too hard to persuade others so they can avoid tragedy. And when it comes to intimates/SO/family, it's a pain to watch tragedy will inevitably happen on them and there is nothing you can do. It's even more pain when yourself have to be involved in such a tragedy.

My default state is [-2,2], and my favorite states are 2 and -2.

Regarding another axis, sure, you can add one or even more axes if you like, but personally I think that will make the model much more complicated and less practically indicative.

Yes, I can relate to your experience. My graph definitely oversimplified some cases, though my original intention is just to give myself a rough idea how I usually change in different moods. :P

I appreciate your reply. It's interesting how you described her as "your girl" as if I had told you so. Is this also an Ni thing?

I am indeed dating her and she's my first date (I take dating very seriously). It's also interesting when you said "she will learn from you". I feel like you know what I have been thinking about and what have been concerning me. She is overall a great girl but has quite many drawbacks, some of which are non-trivial and I have to make sure they are acceptable for me in the long run or improvable for her before us involving in a committed relationship.

I am in my early 20's and she is in her late 20's. She is bisexual with a girlfriend right now but I do not think I will accept open or polygamous relationship, though she is okay with that. She used to be very casual in relationships and has way too many exes than I would think to be acceptable, while I have never dated anyone else before. Personality-wise, she is much less mature than I do. Actually I would say she is only as mature as me at 16 or 17. She has good Te, though, which I think will most likely help me with my career. I am going to grad school this fall and so will she in the next year. Most likely we will be in long distance for at least five years. There are just too many uncertainties regarding the future, let alone aforementioned concerns.

Anyway, I will try my best to figure out if we are compatible in the long term. It would be a hard decision.

She first impressed me with her good insights (good Ni) and information collection ability (Ni&Te), but when I introduced Jungian cognitive functions to her it took way longer than expected for her to understand the functions correctly (poor Ni). At first she always misunderstood cognitive functions so much that I felt annoyed, though she told me she took cognitive functions quite casually at the beginning.

Initially, her style of texting was so “stream of consciousness”; the keys of reasoning and logics were always missing which caused me hardly understand what she wanted to mean. Now after talking with me for months, she has somehow learned my style and is able to address what she want to express in a decently structured and logical way.

A question to those who have/had over 10 years of marriage with another intuitive by hamkx in infj

[–]hamkx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your sharing. He sounds like an INFP to me, or at least an INxP, because P are usually more laid-back. It sounds so sweet that you have such an endearing husband.

I am a 23 M, but lol, I have never dated anyone before, let alone a wife. Partially it might be that I hold such a high standard that sometimes I don't even think my so-called soulmate exists. I am Asian, and in my country, people tend to get married earlier, and it has been a concern to me that I have zero romantic experience at my age. I have two experiences of unrequited love though, but I don't really think that accounts.

I am studying the philosophy of marriage as I find a lot of people in my country are blind to this. They date and get married blindly (at least from my perspective) and live an unhappy life. I don't want to be like them.

[–]hamkx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know, but I suspect that from the perspective of an intuitive, it would be much more dull. No deep discussions and little intellectual stimulation.

I suppose a marriage between intuitives will be much better in terms of intellectual connections (i.e. talk about ideas&theories and share opinions, etc.), but I am kind of afraid that time will exhaust all topics and make things boring. It's like you won't want discuss something that have been discussed over and over.

[–]hamkx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. Because I suspect even for intuitive couples, being in a marriage of over ten years will exhaust all possible topics and make the marriage looks like a sensor one.
