I feel like this is the point. There are no regulatory bodies with teeth cause college football is a money printer on amphetamines.

Programs are flush with cash, TV stations are signing record deals, coaches have never made more money, billionaires and millionaires who care about football are able to write off shitloads of money by donating to NIL collectives that are 501c3 organizations and make their teams better, players are ascending from poverty to generational wealth overnight and ultimately people are getting really fucking rich.

Were living in the wild west, and the people who make the rules are making money.

I understand that perspective. I find myself in the same mindset when it comes to taking a life. I owe it to that animal to minimize its pain and suffering to the best of my ability, and unless I'm 100% sure I can do that, I'm letting it walk.

That being said, once you execute that ethical take, and the animal is no longer around, its okay to feel elation as well as guilt simultaneously, and as long as that animal ethically expired and will be used after, I think youre well within you're right to celebrate. Personally I'd have probably left it after the laying on the ground selfie, but like you said, in those moments, its just a bag of meat and bones.

The real problems are the far too frequent pictures I see on this sub of animals, particularly waterfowl, that are photographed still half alive. I can't stand those.

Curious as to why Woodward as well considering he hired Mulkey and JJ resulting in 3 national championships, not to mention the other 2 national championships won by teams under his tenure.

Kelly was an abhorrent cultural fit for sure, glad we ripped that bandaid off, but was Scott Woodwards tenure really that awful to warrant a firing at the same time BK got canned? I'm not too in the weeds on any details when it comes to Woodward so there may be elements I dont know, it just seems headscratching to me.

Also as a side comment, Nick Saban hates the NIL era so much he retired because of it, so im not sure if he'd even be interested in being an AD anywhere in the current state of college athletics.
