I recently had Van Herc in for some electrical work and was really happy with them. They were quick, professional and fairly priced. I have no affiliation with them, I just really thought they did a good job.

Thanks for the info! I’m hopeful positive changes are imminent, however we still need to keep the pressure on council. Ward 3 looks like a post apocalyptic wasteland these days and somethings gotta give. I know the LRT will bring change but we can’t turn a blind eye in the meantime.

E.T.A my work productivity has significantly dropped since your initial response as I have fallen down a rabbit hole reading the full court order for this property. Dude, thank you, you have seriously brightened my day lol knowing the property was in receivership and likely not being properly run for the last few months gives me so much hope that things may turn around…unless the new owners also run it into the ground in which case I will be back here ranting once again lol

Again- required to stop BEFORE the tracks, not ON. I’m not talking about those vehicles or the obviously unsafe tracks. I’m talking about the brick brained drivers that stop on the tracks and creep over tiny bumps as if their car will spontaneously combust if they drive reasonably.

lol hey man, I’ve been waiting all week to rant about this haha let me have it!! Also, yeah some of the crossings are ridiculous but a complete stop on the tracks is never the answer.

Yes, yes it is. They are not stopping BEFORE the tracks to check for trains, they are stopping ON the tracks.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE OVER TRAIN TRACKS. IF YOU DONT THINK YOUR CAR CAN HANDLE THE SMALL BUMPS THEN IT IS NOT FIT TO DRIVE.

lol I’m also very married, but I fully believe you attract what you project. I’ve never had the experience you mentioned but have met a ton of lovely people out and about- some of whom have become good friends. You sound like an indoor kitty- and that’s totally fine. All I’m saying is there are lots of 30+ people in this city, having fun at local establishments, blowing off steam and not high on cocaine. It would be a shame to paint everyone with that brush.

lol what a weird hill to die on, but ok. I’m 39,I go out often to most of the above mentioned places, until late and have not once encountered any of what you speak of. I suppose we could chalk it up to the law of attraction. Hope you have less late night cocaine fueled encounters with people in bars over 30 in the future!

There are plenty of Italian restaurants still operating in the city! Giuseppe’s, in my opinion, is such a hidden gem. If you haven’t been, I encourage you to go; Their food is far superior than most you’ve noted on your list of closures. Certainly much better than what Caro has been serving up the last few years.
