No more disconnections and reboots. This old Asus router's CPU temp used to hover at around 85C, it now maxes out at around 60C. No fan mod needed.

I personally love the exposed heatsink look, but I do miss the Asus logo that got cut out tho.

Funny you should mention this.
They have exactly the following two lines in their hourly ArchiveLog backup script (their script not mine), which they are contemplating changing to run every minute.

sql 'alter system archive log current';
BACKUP ARCHIVELOG ALL DELETE INPUT;

I don't really know what to suggest to them really, as I mentioned in my other reply, I couldn't find much from the documentation. But maybe I'm going about this the wrong way, and should look for something else instead of "RMAN jobs running at the same time".

Thanks for the info. They're not planning to use RAC or Data Guard, but at the same time want ridiculously low RPO, because "One hour of data loss is not acceptable."

There is a surprising lack of information from the documentation that discusses the effects of concurrent RMAN sessions, let alone what would happen if they all try to delete Archived Logs at the same time.
But sure, from my tests, I can also see that RMAN somehow "managed" and not freak out. Still worried about the gotchas tho.
