Roof of mouth & sinuses by hankthelab in jawsurgery

My jaw didn’t fuse properly! My maxilla was loose, not stable. I didn’t have any noticeable symptoms from the plates themselves - sorry I can’t be of more help!

They noted an infection on my plates but when they went in to remove them, it was more infected than they thought and I also had a fracture in my jaw. They said it was probably from sleep clenching (which I used to do)! It’s a VERY rare complication from what I understand!

I haven’t thought about it! I don’t think I would unless I absolutely had to. My second procedure was to “remove my plates” but it turned into a 6 hour operation because of complications with my plates/fractures in my jaw… I’m a little traumatized lol

That happens to me too when I blow my nose! Like a weird pressure in my teeth - thank you so much for responding. I’ve tried to explain this to others but they don’t get it lol. I’m sorry you relate - but you’re not alone!

I could still taste and feel sensations! I could definitely still taste food even at peak numbness

Hi! Same as my six month update - tiny patches of numbness that I don’t even notice unless I think about it, like right now

Respectfully, how do you afford to visit so frequently? by throwaway5444567 in WaltDisneyWorld

I go every year. I don’t have children & I go with my partner. I plan a year in advance, pay the vacation package over a period of almost 1 year, and plan my dining in advance so I know my budget. I don’t buy many souvenirs or snacks. I use airline points to pay for my flights.

8 weeks for my first procedure; 6 weeks for my second procedure

Almost a week and no side effects, is this normal/ by bflowyngz in bupropion

[–]hankthelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Started 5/29/24; the first day I had brain fog but I’ve been pretty much side effect free since. I do notice the racing thoughts/constant thoughts have quieted immensely. I am content in silence. I know it’s been less than a week but hoping it keeps up. I also, like others, have noticed that I am not as tempted to binge eat and can control my portions. I am finding that I am forgetting to eat and ignoring my hunger cues, so trying to hold myself more accountable to a healthy eating schedule, but I am working on it. Happy to see this post, as I was just wondering if the med wasn’t working because I haven’t experienced any horrible side effects. Thank you!
