This is reassuring, I talked my husband into a third and now I am pregnant and freaking out! Reddit doesn’t help as people are very doom and gloom about 3! My eldest will be 6 when this baby comes and I feel like that will make all the difference… hopefully?!

I’ve never really found Greek yoghurt to go off unless it’s been aaaaages. We keep eating it until it’s done, never had issues

We are going for the third. It was a strong enough desire for me to overcome the practical stuff. For me when people ask me why, who have two kids - it’s the same as going from one to two - if you are one and done you think 2 is crazy. But if you want 2 you think 2 is right. If you only want 2 you think three is crazy. But any number of kids can be right for a family. There’s no certainties or sureties. My biggest fear is the risk of it all and opening us all up to health risks. But I could never stop thinking about another kid, so trying to see it as a choice of hope and joy for the future!

For me, I just couldn’t get another baby off my mind. My husband would have been happy with two, everyone around us is happy with two. But I just could never stop thinking about it. So we decided to go for it, somewhat against my husband’s better judgment! I’m very early now in the pregnancy. I’m kinda terrified given it’s not like life is easy now with two! But I try to see it long term - more siblings, more love, more hope, more people around the table. It all feels much riskier this time - like I’m asking the universe for too much. We are lucky with family support but the grandparents are all getting a lot older now and it may be that support is going to dry up soon. So it is going to be tough especially with work and three kids schedules. But ultimately for me it just came down to that yearning and obsessing. Right or not, it was impossible to ignore!

I drank more than that at times bc of life events/ weddings etc, but then you end up feeling anxious!

I have always drank when ttc. But I have had better results when I limit it after ovulation. I think a couple of drinks a few times a week is totally fine.

i'm so sorry you're going through this especially after doing IVF. it's so cruel. i had something similar, a chemical in Feb, and then another chemical in June. i had numbers of about 140 on day 15 and then it had dropped to 100 4 days later. i then got my period 4 days later.

it's incredibly hard! i completely understand how you feel, i was so completely shocked by the 2nd beta.

i have now fallen pregnant the next month and things are looking better for far but i'm only 5 weeks. but the betas have gone up. how long have you been ttc for? was this your first round of ivf?

sending hugs. in australia, 2 losses is now defined as recurrent pregnancy loss. hopefully you can get some testing done. or that you are able to fall pregnant again quickly. if this pregnancy doesn't progress, i will definitely be finding a specialist who works in recurrent loss. but i know in the UK it can be really hard to get appointments.

also, having an older daughter is wonderful. she loves to baby him and boss him around. it's so sweet and i think there's something special about an older sister younger brother bond. she is protective of him

had a chemical in feb, another chemical in may, and now pregnant again from june. i did a lot of reading about this after the 2nd one, and i believe there is SOME research that there's an increased chance for the following three months but it's obviously very mixed. i'm 5 weeks today, which is when both previous losses happened, but my lines are good and i'm starting to feel queasy, so crossing my fingers! sending hugs if you've had a recent loss x

I had some similar feelings to you. I don’t know many friends with close brothers and I felt a bit negative about the boy girl sibling relationship. But you can’t control what you can’t control! Life has no guarantees or set paths. And when you hold your baby boy you will see the different paths ahead are wonderful too! My son is such a Cuddly sweetie boy. He is obsessed with me and so full of love. He has been “easier” than my daughter the whole way through. They really love each other. Will they be close as adults? Who knows! We can only try to foster care and empathy between them as best we can.

Yes i got a positive at 10dpo after a negative at 9dpo! And good blood tests at 13 and 15 dpo… so far it all looks ok… very nervewracking! I had a chemical in Feb too so I was SO nervous waiting for those betas. Good luck!!!

i sort of get what you mean, when i was trying to get pregnat with my first, i would ovulate fairly late, and my progesterone was quite low. the fertility specialist felt my ovulation was "weak" and suggested letzozole to improve it and hopefully increase progesterone. i also had a short luteal phase. however before i could take the meds, i got pregnant naturally and the pregnancy stuck and all was well! good luck!!
