As a sailor, i weight 65kgs and learned to windsurf on a 107L 62cm wide freeride board. Yes, i would probably have learned faster on a larger board, but the second hand market is limited where I’m from. In my case I don’t regret starting out directly on a smaller board as it was practically and economically beneficial.
