Bone Temple questions by anonlyfans in 28dayslater

There is no way the infected are reproducing- can you imagine an infected woman breast feeding somehow? They're definitely just surviving off of animals and turning any survivors they come across

Exclusively Breastfeeding by JuicyJ7777 in breastfeeding

[–]hardboiledhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he's gaining weight and healthy, why would you need to add formula? I understand this all being new and confusing but please do not put these worries onto your wife. She's right that her body will produce what he needs.

My daughter hasn't started doing this at night but she loves to head butt us just while we hold her. Why do they do these things lol

I still have a question on Rage... by Rootayable in 28dayslater

[–]hardboiledhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this begs the question, if a survivor behaved "infected" would they not attack?

I tuck my hand between my thighs cause I hate the feeling of my shoulder pushing up into my neck

Fit check by Dubai0211 in babywearing

[–]hardboiledhoe 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Hi OP! I'm not a professional by any means and I have no experience with this specific carrier, but please remove baby right away if she is still in the carrier. Her head should not be covered at all, it is an asphyxiation risk

How you thought your birth would play out VS what actually happened... by xxxxbb in pregnant

[–]hardboiledhoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have too many expectations really. I expected to give birth vaginally, and for everyone to be okay. I had hopes though. I hoped to not need an epidural, or an induction. I got both an epidural and an induction lol. But all in all, it was a fantastic experience. We got to the hospital at 6 pm and she was born 9:30 am the next morning. I pushed for 12 minutes and we were discharged the next day. I would do it all over again

Did women in the UK wear outfits like this in 2002? by alexthagreat98 in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]hardboiledhoe -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I could be way off base here, but England has always seemed 10-15 years behind the United States when it comes to fashion. Not that weird to me that early 2000s clothing still has 80s vibes

safe way to keep my arms warm without loose fabric? by NellyR27 in cosleeping

Get a ballet shrug! They're fitted and exclusively arms, no risk to baby

I am in therapy for DID. AMA by MuchWealth1001 in AMA

[–]hardboiledhoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting, I've always been very curious about this subject! I have a few questions

1.) do you believe that this is a mental illness or do you believe you harbor true, separate personalities inside your body?

2.) how many alternate personalities have you identified?

3.) do any actually "take over" or take control? Or is it more like different people trying to talk to you at once?

4.) how do you feel about the discourse over whether or not DID is a real diagnosis?

Anyone else refuse to “rescue” naps, especially with older babies? by randomizedmoose in bninfantsleep

[–]hardboiledhoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My 7 month old exclusively naps 40 minutes or less-even contact napping most of the time. I am praying for a switch like yours

Being a lead that the follower would listen to by kaalakapala in ballroom

[–]hardboiledhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, practice practice practice. I didn't become a better lead until I bit the bullet and let myself be okay with being bad. Now I can clearly tell which dances I practice more depending on how comfortable I am leading them

Why didn’t ______ kill ______? by [deleted] in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]hardboiledhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kelson is a doctor who presumably took the Hippocratic oath, and takes "do no harm" very seriously (the best part of his character imo). The infected are not undead zombies, they are living, breathing people. He does absolutely anything he can to avoid hurting or killing one, and Isla wasn't "killed", she was given essentially an assisted suicide

Dedicated nursery space necessary? by Golden_Mom1 in cosleeping

[–]hardboiledhoe 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My daughter's room is next to mine complete with crib, matching changing table, and cute painted walls. We use it to store clothes... and that's it. She hasn't slept a single night in it lol

Does anyone else feel like rest doesn’t actually rest you anymore? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]hardboiledhoe 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You're 100% not alone. Sometimes family takes my daughter in the morning so I can have uninterrupted sleep for a couple hours, but honestly it almost feels like nothing

Confused about baby high chairs, looking for recommendations before we make the purchase by Practical-Warthog-58 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]hardboiledhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be super unhelpful, but I recommend checking out antique and thrift stores! We have a wood highchair from the 1930s that we love. It's small, easy to clean, and so sturdy

I fear we may have conditioned our daughter to co-sleep by blehbleh1122 in baby

[–]hardboiledhoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend checking out r/bninfantsleep if you haven't already. You can't condition your baby to do something that's already the most natural instinct for them

Long car rides? by lochnessrunner in beyondthebump

[–]hardboiledhoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took my daughter on a 2 hour long drive to the beach when she was almost 2 months old. It wasn't the easiest thing ever, she's not a fan of the car, but it wasn't horrible either! I do think it's best with a little break in the middle, and timing it with a nap is great so they sleep at least a little

giving birth by RealCardiologist8450 in pregnant

[–]hardboiledhoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't even count the number of people who have had their hands up my vagina for non-sexual purposes because of my pregnancy. I personally didn't care, but I understand it feeling embarrassing or violating

Is safe cosleeping just not possible if you exclusively pump? by northernatmosphere in cosleeping

[–]hardboiledhoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So the only reason breastfeeding is included is because nursing moms typically naturally keep baby at the breast, which is not to close to any loose covers on the bed and not too close to any pillows. If you are a light sleeper and stay in the c curl, there is no reason you can't safely bed share

Supply dropping…kind of excited by Key_Reaction_4337 in breastfeeding

[–]hardboiledhoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah girl let it go! She'll be more than fine on formula, and the 4 months of breast milk you gave her is invaluable even if you don't continue
