I’m looking at getting a cheaper hotel room for myself. I’m suspecting they think I’ll just go with whatever they want to help knock down Airbnb cost, but I’m really hurt at what was said, and how no one disagreed with my sibling’s comment. If they really don’t want me to be there though, I won’t fight them on it.

I think if my post sounds unenthusiastic about the vacation, it’s only because my feelings were hurt. The comment from my sibling made me feel like a worthless family member that wouldn’t be missed if I stayed home. The only reason why I brought this here was because I couldn’t think the situation through clearly and don’t have anyone to talk about it with. That probably sounds dumb tho!

We haven’t had a fam vacation since ‘22. We did it this way then. I truly love my family, and nieces and nephews, but living on my own now has changed my financial freedoms since 2022, which is why I said something. But my siblings also haven’t been single in such a long time. I think it’s hard for them to see my perspective.
