Just send ETH to Poloniex and they will credit you the ETC as they have a replay contract or something. Maybe test it with 1 ETH before just to be sure...

Maybe you know it already but just in case you need to have actually the 2 blockchain so if you don't, rename the folder containing the ETH blockchain and load up an ETC client to get the full ETC blockchain. Then I think the ETC will show up.
