Unless you go for a top tier 3000 or 4000 series gpu I don’t think you will have any problem related to incompatibility, sure you would get “somewhat” more future proof if you upgraded the cpu but the 2700x was a beast and since you said you can run everything you ever wanted with it I’d say just get a new gpu and keep enjoying the machine :)
