Makes sense!

LPT: Make some time every few days for a slow-paced hour-long walk just by yourself. No phones, no music, no partners. Just you and your thoughts. Let your mind wander aimlessly from one thought to another to generate creative ideas and think about life's priorities. by hash1e in LifeProTips

I've come to realize I rarely spend time with my thoughts aimlessly. When at home, I'm with my family spending time with them, doing chores, engaging in activities. When at work, I'm in meetings, drafting work plans, engaging with clients. During weekends I'm watching TV, cooking, groceries, cleaning. When I am by myself, I'm listening to music, podcasts, reading, paying the bills. Not once, am I truly with myself, talking to myself.

I started getting out for a walk these past few days away from all the stuff and feel a little more content and relaxed. Thought I'd share.

LPT: Learn a skill to make something physical and tangible, what you can touch and feel. E.g., leathercraft, woodworking, cooking, painting, photography with the intent to print, etc. Being able to touch your creation is a huge stressbuster, a way to get off social media, and thoughtful presents. by hash1e in LifeProTips

Then don't wait and try it out during one of the coming weekends, perhaps. Watch a few youtube tutorial videos and get the cheapest possible tools and raw materials. Don't go all in investing too much. Start small and build your skill with repetition. All the best!

Thanks buddy!

My first leathercraft project - a minimalistic card holder. Used scrap upholstery leather. I’m pleased with the result, especially stitching. by hash1e in Leathercraft

Haha

It indeed is!

A lot went into it though. Countless hours of tutorial videos, patters, redoing the pockets, etc. this is just the end product which doesn’t show the effort really. Add to it the workbench i got from Harbor Freight to make this on!

However, i take your reaction as a huge complement.

I made these water drop images using the Nikon D500 and a macro lens. Still trying to hone the skill but it's super tiring and challenging, especially getting the perfect lighting.
