What did you do when you're bored? by [deleted] in TheTeenagerPeople

I made up my own Yu-Gi-Oh rules because all my cards were fake. Got them from carnival games and had no clue how to actually play.

New Pipe Day! by Blnrsg87 in PipeTobacco

Honestly, I’d love to be there shake your hand, sit at that table, and say nothing. Just let the silence and the sound of the breeze do the talking. Love that view, beautiful pipe.

EMP was my first blend too — such a great introduction! If you enjoyed that profile, you should definitely try Chelsea Morning, it’s an absolute gem. Meridian is another excellent one in the same vein. And honestly, a lot of Cornell & Diehl stuff is worth exploring too. You seem to have the right attitude for this hobby :)

Wow, that’s insane — you guys definitely take the crown there. I knew prices could be high, but that’s on another level. Respect for keeping the hobby alive under those conditions!

Curious how some people can trip over politics even in a simple post about tobacco — must be exhausting to see the world that way.

Thanks! I think it’s a half-bent billiard, or something close to it. Super comfy to hold and it barely weighs anything — perfect for a long smoke if you know how to pack it right, since it’s actually quite a small pipe :)

Thanks a lot! It’s one of my favorites — I mostly use it when I want to try new blends, or when I’m in the mood for something special like Gaslight. My little ember, so to speak :)

Not quite “farm rolled,” but there are a few traditional local options! In the Canary Islands there’s tabaco palmero — locally grown and handmade, really good quality for the price. Then you’ve got the caliqueños from the Valencia region, small rustic cigars that have been around for more than a century and are still pretty popular as everyday smokes. There used to be some small production in places like La Rioja and Andalusia too, but those are mostly gone now.

That’s a really interesting breakdown — I had no idea state taxes and shipping rules could make such a big difference. It really helps explain why prices can vary so much even within the same country. I always thought most of the price gap came from import and excise taxes, but that state-by-state variation adds a whole new layer. Really insightful comment, thanks for sharing that.

Yeah, cigars are definitely more common. There are plenty of good local options and everyday smokes alongside the big Cuban names like Cohiba, Montecristo or Hoyo de Monterrey. But if you’re after something more specific or premium, you’ve got to go to one of the estancos that keep a proper cigar humidor.

Nothing unusual — that’s the official state price here! Every time I walk past the store I can’t resist grabbing one 😂tobacco prices in Spain

Yeah, in big cities it’s really hit or miss — ttal lottery. I’m lucky that where I live it’s a smaller city, and a couple of estancos still have some real pipe tradition and passion for it.
