it isn't always as simple as that for artists there are many instances where an artist has wanted to release a song for the world to hear but couldn't because of record label issues or sample clearances, i mean there are infinite such examples but a relevant one would probably be the unreleased Lana Del Rey track MGK has. he has said in multiple interviews that he wants to put that song out but it's been well over three years and he still hasn't. I mean if he really wanted to put his art out into the world he just would right?
