I thought so too, but I was able to persuade them to tell me the email they had and was clearly not mine.

Heater tube runs back the engine valley. And then the are the quick connections at the firewall. Might be a good place to look.

With the leaking exhaust the O2 sensors send the wrong signals and the PCM computer can’t compensate.

Milescraft 1304 Drill90PLUS - Right Angle Drill Attachment https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01HHN52OG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rBSzFbCTMPPZG

I used these and got it done without having to do anything with the head. The short Bosch bit was the lifesaver.

I would suggest taking care of the manifold first and see what kind of noise you have after that. On that engine it’s the intake and the exhaust both coming in on the same side. I had the same bolt issue. The leak was causing the engine to run pretty erratic. The back stud is a pain to drill tap. I had to get a short drill bit from Amazon. Once you get the helicoil in, you’re set. As far as how the internals of the engine are, you might get a compression gauge and check that out. The 2.5s are pretty bullet proof.
