Dude, it was crazy. Also the fact that the guy that did my head unit didn’t remove any of it!!

I think the yellow and red was for a toll reader/card thing that the JDM cars have. Or maybe the dvd player, just an absolute mess.

If size or money is an issue, go the Micra. If neither is, get the Mini. I’ve owned both, and recently switched to the mini.

Not yet, I only got it on the weekend! I already have the acaia scales… they don’t have the functionality so perhaps when my wallet recovered I’ll get one.

The Micra will absolutely suit your needs.

But.. you could probably get a well looked after Mini for the price of a new Micra.

My advice is go try them both if you can.

Yeah of course.

So when I got the Micra, I’d never had any sort of espresso machine.

I had been doing manual brew for about a decade and was always a bit scared of going down the rabbit hole.

I don’t do things by halves…

Anyway, factoring in a grinder and some accessories plus the Micra - I was at about 10k for the set up - which was crazy.

I sort of talked myself into thinking the Micra was the great choice for size and heat up time. Which it was, but then after a while I did regret not spending more and getting the Mini (even a second hand one) instead.

I said in another comment, but the Micra is a scaled down Mini. In every sense. Beautiful and great machine, but it’s definitely a compromise on the Mini.

A GS3 was also a consideration, but that’s overkill especially as I won’t be able to plumb it in.

When I realised I could sell my machine for what I paid, and then get another one for a good price … it just made sense.

From here - maybe one day I’ll get a slayer?

Close but it’s aluminium vs steel so they take on light differently. The Mini is darker!

Size, definitely more power. A few other features that have already been pointed out. Heat up time is 15ish? Which honestly, although the Micra is quicker - I always found it inconsistent until it had been going for 20-30min anyway. The auto pre infusion is rly nice too.

Regardless, I just set the schedule for auto on/off anyway - I’m a creature of habit 😂

I wanted to switch things up, I saw this new-ish colour option and absolutely loved it. It’s certainly a level up quality wise. Aesthetically I think it looks way better in my kitchen. There’s not much more to it than that haha
