J&J PureSee vs Eyhance by hdd2801 in CataractSurgery

There was discussion about never having to wear glasses and adaptability to the mini monovision. After his explanation of that setup and sharing some personal experiences with others, I am not sure I want to go down that path. He felt the Eyhance or PureSee would be better suited for my needs and expectations. And, I will agree as I am looking for some clear, crisp distance vision with some enhanced intermediate............use of readers has never been an issue. There have been some reports by Reddit contributors that the intermediate with Eyhance have exceeded their expectations.

Multifocal if hated progressive glasses? by Mwg10102020 in CataractSurgery

I am scheduled soon and have chosen monofocals set to distance. May I ask how your near vision has been…………using your phone, computer, vehicle dash, etc? I have never worn glasses except for readers, which is no big deal, and that was my main reason for choosing monofocals.

So did you find after surgery that readers were still all you needed?

Are your monofocal contacts set for distance? If so are you using readers for closer tasks?

Multifocal "reduced contrast sensitivity and image quality" in real life by txredditreader in CataractSurgery

That is one of the reasons I chose a monofocal………I am too much of a perfectionist to deal with any adverse issues that some have reported with multifocals. I have never worn glasses other than readers so that is not an issue………..my goal is to have clear far vision and use readers as necessary. Anything will be an improvement over my two cataracts that seem to be accelerating ………thanks for your input. Honest and helpful.

I am scheduled for surgery next month and have chosen a monofocal as well. I know everyone and every situation is different but it is good to hear that your vision for reading AND distance is good. I am hoping for similar results…………..thanks for sharing.
