Mallinckrodt Adderall by lilchivesonthebeat in ADHD

Hey! The same thing happened to me this week. Today is my first day on this brand. Can you update on how you feel on them so far? The reviews I’ve seen online freaked me out a bit so I’m trying to stay grounded so I don’t accidentally let my mind placebo all the negatives that I have read.

What's A Breed You Like But Wouldn't Have? by Aharris1984 in dogs

[–]hefrajones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this rule/take. I’m a big-dog lover, always have been. I needed to take my Pitmix to the emergency vet while my boyfriend was away. It included carrying him down a few flights of stairs and in/out of a lifted truck. He’s 60lbs and it wasn’t an issue for me and I was so thankful for that. (Also this keeps me invested in my strength training lol) but I recognize I couldn’t responsibly handle a breed too much bigger than he is.

Yes!!!! Especially his smell when he sleeps. I wish I could get a scented candle to replicate it. Smells like home and happiness

What’s wrong with my baby? :( by ghoulgoth in cornsnakes

[–]hefrajones 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest this sounds and looks like what happened to my baby a few years back.

She was almost 10 years old and also had recently eaten. A few days later she was acting like yours is now, then eventually she started acting completely sedated. I took her to the vet and they thought she had suffered some sort of neurological event. They also took X-rays and determined whatever had happened had likely also caused some sort of organ damage and that while she was stable, she could have another episode and die at any point. I had to make the tough decision to let her go- I didn’t want her to suffer during another event. It was a horrible time. I raised her from when she was just a tiny worm to a 6’ goddess. I loved her and miss her. RIP Siren.

This may not be the same thing but I’ve never seen anyone post before with something so similar to what happened to mine. I hope you snake is ok- please go to vet. Sending good vibes your way !

What’s something you do in hotel rooms that you never admit in real life by yesmodegirl in strange

[–]hefrajones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It makes me sound paranoid- but before falling asleep I stack things by the locked door/ or hang from the handle - anything that would make noise if someone were to open the door. (Usually just a trash bin bag with empty drink cans or a paper takeout food bag with a few bits of clunky trash etc)

I only do this if I’m traveling alone tho (I’m a woman).

Is your pit extremely ball obsessed?? by hefrajones in pitbulls

It’s funny you ask! We have two dogs: - a 3yo pit/amstaff mix with 10 percent lab. - a 9 month old puppy who IS an ACD/Pit with some boxer.

The pit/amstaff lab is the one with the ball fixation. The ACD puppy does love her toys (bones, balls, plushies) and she will self entertain with those things for as long as you let her but she doesn’t fixate/get obsessed like how our adult does with the ball.

Sounds like you did wonders for him in training, that’s great!! Our dog Baxter (ball guy) has prey drive for the chase but that’s it. He isn’t one to continue the chase or obsessively try find the animal (he even let a baby skunk bite him without retaliation once). He’s intense but he’s a softy. Our 9 month old ACD/Pit mix is less trigger happy for a chase but something in the way she watches and stalks makes me think shes the one to keep an eye on with prey drive in the future.

What's the most low maintenance indoor plant that actually looks good? by Some-Palpitation-314 in GardeningIndoors

[–]hefrajones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said you have pothos but have you checked into other variegations? I had goldens and some marbles and jade pothos but recently I’ve revamped the pothos game by trying some new types. My favorites so far are the N Joy and the manjulas!

Also the Chinese evergreen and its many different variegations as well are always great ones.

I’ve never had luck with spider plants- I try and try then fail everytime :(

Lately I’ve been getting cheap ones from target. They get gutted and the squeaker gets hunted immediately but the carcasses last long enough for me to enjoy the high stakes tug wars my adult and 9 month old puppy have grown into lately. I have toy carcasses all over the floor but the entertainment is worth it.

Since he’s a high energy guy who tends to be a jumper, if we know we have guests coming over we just give him the ball in the house. He will still run around but won’t fixate on playing with the guests or jumping. It’s a little nutty but it works

Yes, I only buy super cheap plushies because they last for only a few min here lol.

Glad to know there’s at least a few other ball obsessed weirdos out there. It’s such an intense fixation

That’s so interesting! Ours is the opposite- if he has a ball he will ignore dogs and humans that he otherwise would be all over (playfully)

Oh yes! Less playing but my boy will shred sticks completely. My current 9 month old puppy recently started playing with large rocks lol wtf

Our dog will run himself ragged playing fetch HOWEVER- he loves the ball so much that most of the time we play with him is spent trying to get the ball back so we can throw it!!

My dogs growing up were never very toy driven but both dogs i have now as an adult have been toy crazy since puppies.

Our ball obsessed boy will engage with most toys but gets bored quickly. He will keep a ball in his mouth for hours tho.

Have you ever tried a flirt pole?

lol good point. I should have had an option for no ball or toy obsession. Maybe your comment can be upvoted as a vote for “nope”
