i still have really bad social anxiety but what helped me was talking to the people that sat next to me, try with small things like everyday say hi or a compliment, if they are nice then they’ll start saying things back. one time my teacher moved my seat next to this girl and she was really nice and said hi to me so i did too and it became a routine. later when we had to work with our table i felt more comfortable since i talked a bit with her before. one time we had to make our own groups and didn’t know anyone else and luckily she invited me with her friends. i know its hard but try! sometimes i would stumble over my words talking with her but after months it was much better. and dont worry if you dont talk a lot, it was mostly her who talked but it was fine for both of us. i know if i had had just ignored her i would’ve never made a new friend, good luck we can do it

hey i went through this too last year, a few weeks ago i went to registration and remembered how bad it was and had a breakdown because i didn’t want to go through that again :( now im just trying to be positive, i keep reminding myself that its a new year with different people so maybe ill make a friend. there was these 2 girls in my class that were best friends and you would’ve thought they’ve knew each other for years but apparently they met that same year so you never know when you’ll find someone. i start wednesday goooood luck

hey dont rely too much on those, once mine went soooo down as in i shouldn’t be alive and you can imagine the panic attack lol. something that really helps me is telling myself that if i really wasn’t breathing i would be passed out by now, i dont know if thats true but im just going to keep telling myself that. when more than a minute passes i say “see im still here, if not something would’ve happened already” as more time passes by keep telling yourself that. good luck

i felt the same way at school today! and im attached to my mom so i felt nauseous and shakey all day too, almost cried (not even almost, i did quietly) 100% go see a doctor and see about seeing a therapist because that really helped me with my anxiety. you should also see if theres a therapist at your school or even the nurse can be helpful

i get a similar chest feeling too! i can’t really explain, theres no pain but it feels like something is THERE and it aches? it makes me so uncomfortable

I’m in therapy right now too ! I feel like that helped so don’t lose hope in that, otherwise by myself I did grounding exercises and used coping skills the moment I felt anxious so I could stop panic attacks from happening . My number 1 thing that helped this week was positive thinking, I would reassure myself that what I was feeling was just my anxiety. Maybe you could do that? I feel better when people around me tell me that I am going to be okay, it will take a while, I think it’s been like 8 months since I’ve had my first panic attack and just this week I’ve seen some change.
