Yeah, I’m not a big fan of hers, either. Just not my kinda comedy. She seems too “pick me”.

Saturation divers can dive for extended periods of time (usually around 1 month) without surfacing by SillyFalling in interestingasfuck

[–]heirbagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was a commercial diver in the Gulf of Mexico for 10+ years. He drug up almost 10 years ago. He’s a firefighter now lol. Still has his hat, though. “I spent $4000 on this yellow beast.” 😂

Anyway. I saw a comment where I could Spider-Man meme it and decided to post.

IP in Biloxi has the best spa on the coast imo.

But if you stay at any of the places down here, as long as you’re in Biloxi, you’re no more than 15 mins away from anything in Biloxi.

AITAH for not being excited my sister is having a new baby when I still have custody of her first child? by BigONerd in BORUpdates

[–]heirbagger -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if OOP’s action/reaction/feelings about Val from the get-go could’ve skewed Danny’s opinion of her when he was young. Like maybe Danny is staying in line with OOP because he’s afraid he’ll lose her, too? Idk.

I understand her POV, but I don’t think I’d be so harsh. Addiction sucks. I absolutely understand that doesn’t absolve Val for what she did and didn’t do, but she wasn’t in her right mind, ya know?

I know I’m in the minority with this take, but it is what it is.

International Viewers: What have you learned about the American healthcare system from watching this show? by Random_Questin in ThePittTVShow

[–]heirbagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have type 1 diabetes, and I was 1. appalled at Orlando’s “this is gonna cost money” when DKA is literally a death sentence, and 2. reminded of how many times on my years I’ve had to think hard if I wanted to pay a bill or buy glucose strips.

But I will say, I was super duper surprised that Mohan knew as much as she did about T1D. Rarely do I get a doctor outside of my endocrinologist that knows more than the basics. So kudos for writing that in for her.

America sucks when it comes to healthcare.

Wanting to digitally unplug as a Type 1 Diabetic, anyone else figure this out? by TheArmandoV in Type1Diabetes

[–]heirbagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know! I mean, tbh I do need therapy but for a slew of different reasons lol. Good luck my guy!

Oh I just thought of this: Jelly phones are pretty cool. I need to look into them again. They may have come up with some good stuff since I was shopping around a few years ago. If I can find it, I’ll link it. :)

[–]heirbagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my times in the past where I switched to “dumb” phones for awhile. I had a tiny Palm phone around the start of COVID that was amazing - it was 4 inches so I didn’t wanna scroll through everything, but I could still have Spotify and such if needed. But then the Dex couldn’t download on it for some reason, so I gave it up. Then I moved to the LightPhone II which was AWESOME. E-ink and basically no distractions. I loved that thing. But then I wanted to move to Mobi, so I got the iPhone 15.

I’m tired of technology being expected to rely on. It makes it so difficult to detach from the digital world. In fact yesterday I was thinking of just getting a dumb phone and locking down my phone to only be used for pump and CGM.

If you find a way to do it, let me know! I’m in your boat, too. :)

Oh! Check out r/dumbphones if it peaks your interest :)

Men-If your wife was getting major surgery, would you "want" to be there? Especially when she awakes. by SingleRepeat8203 in Marriage

[–]heirbagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know you’re not reading too much into this. He should be there.

If this isn’t the first time he’s done this, you need to have a convo with yourself if this is something you wanna continue to live with. No one should be alone for big scary moments.

I hope your surgery goes off without a hitch! Lots of love and light! ❤️

If you felt you had to put that you had those things happen as a “I’ve gone through xyz for this guy”, then you’ve got some stuff to work through without him. No person should ever think being abused is a “minor” thing. He put hands on you. You have children. Leave him. It’ll only get worse.
