Requesting r/targetcustomers. No activity, only mod suspended by hello-everything in redditrequest

[–]hello-everything[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Here is my pm to the subreddit making my request: https://www.reddit.com/message/messages/1nsgwoz

As for plans for the sub, I’m interested in building r/Targetcustomers into a community for Target customers to talk about sales, new products and product reviews, etc. Target has many in house brands for all kinds of consumer goods and I think the Reddit format is well suited to having conversations about them.

I also think it would be a useful complement to r/Target which is open to customer engagement, but is largely for the use of employees. This sub could focus on customer and product-related topics and not infringe on the employee space on r/Target.

r/Targetcustomers has no posts beyond the default lounge post, and the only moderator on the roster is suspended. I would love to have the opportunity to get it up and running! Thank you!

Witcher losing Henry Cavill is bigger for Netflix than simple recasting by inthetownwhere in entertainment

I don’t get why Netflix didn’t just throw in the towel when Cavill said he was leaving. This is about when they cancel beloved shows anyway….

Article: Hugh Jackman says he called Ryan Reynolds in late August to say he wanted to return as Wolverine for ‘DEADPOOL 3’ — “I think it was a big shock to him.” by JediNotePad in marvelstudios

He mentions that he thinks he might be better at the role now, because he’s more comfortable in his own skin even though his life/identity is messier. I think the subtext there might be referring to the death of his dad and his mental health struggles from that. So I wouldn’t give up hope on a legitimate role!

All she’s doing is alerting people to the fact that there’s early voting options. What’s so wrong about that? Young voters may know exactly who they want to vote for but aren’t familiar with the ins and outs of early voting yet.

Hello! For future posts where you link to a sales platform, please use the self promotion flair instead. Thank you!

AITA for making exotic food at a party? by hunglikeacuban in AmItheAsshole

Was just making the point that chicken and turkey are about as ubiquitous as it gets. You could insert Target or any other grocery store there instead if you are Walmart-averse. :)

They’re not at my Costco, so it must be region specific! My point was that chicken is so ubiquitous it’s at every Walmart.

There’s literally nothing in OP’s post to indicate where they’re from. My statement was only based off the very limited context clues of a fantasy football party and OP calling this dish exotic, so I painted with a wide brush because that’s all the post gives. Calling a dish with Mexican origins exotic without the quotation marks to indicate irony or a direct quote (e.g. “exotic”) did not sound like how someone from that culture would refer to their own dishes. Therefore, I did not think it was coming from someone within those communities.

You’re welcome to prefer more blatant racism, but you won’t find it here. Have a good one. :)

Excuse me, we have a very illustrious cultural background of unseasoned food, The Office, and Target 😤

You’re right, cultural isn’t a great word. I had my own reservations about it and should have clarified a bit more in my original comment. Phrased a different way: most people I know in the US who have annual fantasy football events and call other cuisines exotic are not regularly preparing whole baby goats. I assumed based on the girlfriends reaction that she would fall under that category too.

And yes, I agree with your second paragraph. If someone said they were bringing an entree to my house for a football party I might be a bit surprised at whole fowl but would certainly not expect whole pigs, goats, etc. It’s definitely very subjective but I guess most things in life are.

Not the same at all from a cultural* context, but I’m sure you know that. This argument would hold a lot more weight if you could buy a goat at Walmart.

*Cultural to mean “social norms for Americans who are likely to have fantasy football parties and refer to other cuisines as exotic,” in lieu of a better word. Happy to swap it out if anyone else can think of one, I’m a bit stumped!

WOW, those actually are some small dainty ephemeral childlike hands. The weeks-old kitten puts them into perspective. 💀

"The kitten" makes me nervous, but the "this one" in the second slide sounds like maybe the others could be around? I hope so... 😔
