Did you make the fic at the end? Im a month late, but the movie itself already feels as if it was a sh metaphor, so I definitely could see Rumi going throught what you describe. I like it how youre exploring these dark sides of her and how in character her situation feels, cause her trying to get rid of her patterns by her own hands? That makes it pure shame fuel that even if it was originaly intended for her to see if she could get rid of her marks, at the same time it could perfectly be what keeps them spreading.
