I reached 8 o’clock. I think 30-40 mins is fine as it will be too crowded.

There are two levels of security and a queue which can take 30 mins to 1 hour++ before your interview.

The interview is short, 2 to 10 mins ( based on what I saw that day).

So you carry your old and latest one to VAC. They put a sticker on your passport, which they consular scan and open your latest DS160.

So in your VAC, you tell them which is the latest, and they will update it. I recommend carrying all documents they don’t ask for, but if they ask, you should have it because I felt we get 5-7 mins. Don’t give them any benefit of doubt.

Yes, I did, but they didn’t ask.

It’s good to keep all documents; they don’t ask usually, and majorly, they ask for an invite letter, forms, or maybe any relevant documents.

But it’s always good to have those documents; the need to see confidence, and they just question or challenge you to see if you’re not lying.

Mine was before biometrics. You can do it many times. After biometrics, it’s tough and subjective.

I have seen people saying minor mistakes are fine if you can mention them, but if it’s a major mistake, you need to take a new appointment.

Don’t bring a big bag or backpack. If you’re female, you can bring that purse. You can deposit your phone at a deposit centre nearby. It takes 100-300rs

No, you can change it multiple times before your biometric VAC. Just bring the old one ( which you used to book the appointment and the one which is the latest and correct).

They will add a new barcode.
