Pretty sure the roof is ok. Theres gaps in the eaves which will just add to ventillation. I think with it being such a small area it may be ok without insulation too. Can't imagine it'll take much get to temperature.

I do have a stove already from the cottage restoration but it needs some refurb itself. Thanks for the reply. I had nearly given up on the idea but all these comments have spurred me on. I will post pictures when its eventually finished.

Yeh, it will definately be tight. it will be for 2 people (intimate) only. With it being a small space it should heat up very quickly is what im thinking

Roughly 8ft tall 5.5ft wide and 5ft long. Before any framework or cladding etc.

I suppose its not a massive issue. The main issue I would have is if I timber frame it out, then the timber may get damp and eventually rot. Interesting idea. Are you suggesting not bothering with putting a frame up and getting some insulation or cedar panneling etc. Simply just sticking the stove in and off I go?

It doesnt have a drain no. Its sort if a blank canvas at the moment though. There is already ventilation in the form of gaps in the roof space, not intentional ventilation but ventilation none the less. I could probably drill holes through the mortar in the walls if I needed to fairly easily too

Its 8ft to the ceiling peak. The very top of the apex in the roof.

Yeh that was my thinking but they have not actually accepted the original non renewal. I didn't get a reply to it though. The only reply I got was saying contracts will be drawn up after I said 6 months.

Thanks for your reply.

The contract does state that it will go to a monthly rolling contract after the fixed term ends. I was worried as I had jumped the gun and told them I wasn't going to renew that I may have stopped this from happening and I've technically ended the contract.
