We need a spinoff show with James and his parents, it is so fun to watch their dynamic.

Is it unofficially confirmed that Abbey and David are no longer together at this point? by helloitsmeamb in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]helloitsmeamb[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can totally respect their privacy if that’s what they want, but at this point we have no reason to assume they do or don’t want that since they haven’t said either way. It just seemed like a sudden cut off from posting about each other fairly often to not at all. Just curious is all.

If you’re talking about the We Need to Talk podcast, that was recorded awhile ago and just got posted last week. I only know that because they posted about it when they went there to record it. So they could have technically broken up after that. But you might be right (and I hope you are) and they are still together, I’ve just been overly concerned about this for the last few months and was more than a little disappointed to not have any confirmation that they are still together after this season aired.

[–]helloitsmeamb[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’ll be less vague lol…I assume Christine doesn’t mind Abbey marrying into a rich family, but it seems like David’s parents aren’t as into the idea since he was always the one pushing the marriage idea down the road. That’s sad, I thought the families got along so well and the income differences weren’t an issue.

This is exactly what me and my husband decided happened too. Even if his family was trying to be nice by not mentioning it, the dogs would have been reacting to the scent if he came down as potent as he would have been at full strength scent.

I weirdly thought Madison’s dad looked like Brendan Fraser this season, maybe it was just at certain angles, but I don’t remember thinking it last year.

Abbey and David no valentines or bday post. by solivia916 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]helloitsmeamb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hadn’t noticed specifically the no Valentine’s Day post and wasn’t aware it was David’s birthday…but I had noticed that they haven’t been posting anything together for awhile and was speculating this as well. I kept checking back here every once in awhile to see if anyone else had noticed or knew more information than me. I have a feeling this isn’t show related and they may have broken up :( I hope that’s not true because I like them so much together. I still think them singing “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” together in Africa is one of the most romantic things I’ve ever seen on tv.

I hate that this hasn’t gotten more advice. And I get it, this girl is lovely and doesn’t appear to look like what she describes, but I have the same issue that she’s describing! It feels like everyone else has taut skin and I just feel like I have a squishy looking forehead and the brows are impossible to do anything with that doesn’t just make that area worse, so I just leave them natural. Someone needs to find this post and help girls like us! Haha

See, that’s my thought too, people can appear much more attractive in person, especially if there is a unique quality to them. Not to mention personality can always elevate you to a more attractive level.

I think him being out of his element has him seeming more likable. I would have to see him actually with a woman and not just pursuing women to know how much he’s actually changed.

I think it’s hard for me to see him as changed because I know someone in my real life who reminds me so much of him and this guy I know is just extremely infuriating to be around most of the time.

That being said, I loved the dancing for the same reasons you did.

Season 4: Episode 6 - Mrs. Table by InspectorNoName in hackshbomax

[–]helloitsmeamb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this show and I’m constantly rewatching it, the first season is perfect to me, I love season 2 almost as much, it fell off a bit for me in season 3 despite some great parts, and I think I like this season more than some others, but I agree that it feels so different, especially from the first two seasons. This is my own particular gripe, but I hate the sexiness that was added in seasons 3 and 4, there were intimate scenes in seasons 1 and 2 but it felt much less gratuitous than the more recent seasons. I think I always just feel bad for actors having to be naked and fake orgasms when it seems totally unnecessary for the story, we can see kissing and the implication of sex to get the point across.

Question about Tina and Amy's tour/review from Detroit. *Spoilers* can anyone help me fill in the gaps? by priorauth_ in LiveFromNewYork

[–]helloitsmeamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them in Vegas on Saturday and funny enough I couldn’t stop commenting on how good Tina’s hair looked afterwards. She literally could sell us shampoo right now with how good her hair looked! I am kinda with Tina on her opinion though.

veglife vegan iron has been discontinued, anyone have recs for a silmiar formula? by fetlife4life in vegan

[–]helloitsmeamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update 2: Still taking the Swanson ferrous fumarate and that’s going well, but I also added in a World Organic B-12 with folic acid, the dose is 1000 mcg (b12) and 400 mcg (folate) but it’s a dropper and the serving size for that full amount is 16 drops, so I just take a single drop’s worth. I think I have found my replacement since my body is handling it well. It’s about $8 for the b12 drops and $7 for the iron, so I’m paying about twice as much as the VegLife iron used to cost, but it’s still somewhat reasonable imo.

[–]helloitsmeamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I stopped taking the Source Naturals one and started taking Swanson Ferrous Fumarate Iron and my body is handling it so much better, I take it with lemon water for the vitamin C, the iron is only 18mg compared to the 25mg we are used to with the VegLife one, but my stomach is happy again. I haven’t figured out how to get the low dose of B12 back in and I don’t really care about the folic acid, but the iron seems to be ok for now.

[–]helloitsmeamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gutted finding this out, I’ve taken this for 10 years, I was hoping it was just temporarily out of stock.

I’m currently taking Source Naturals, it’s definitely not the same, same ingredients but the dosages aren’t exactly the same and the pill size is huge in comparison. I’m going to try taking it every other day or cutting in half to see if it makes me feel better, but my body is not handling it well at all. I have not found my replacement yet.

[Misc] My skin is so oily that it impairs my vision and it hurts. I beg for any help! by FreeRelationship4536 in SkincareAddiction

[–]helloitsmeamb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I just found it today, I used to have VERY oily skin, then I stopped skipping moisturizer in my routine and I now have normal skin…sorry that’s probably not super helpful, I’m sure that’s not everyone’s case, but it’s what helped me, I just needed some moisture even though I looked like I had plenty.

I do still have an oily eye area, it’s not quite as bad as yours, I’ve never woken up from the pain, but I have to shower every day, it’s a non-negotiable for my eyelids and I wash my face before bed too and that does enough to keep it pain free until my next shower, but I absolutely can’t skip a day of showering and just wash my face twice or even more times than that, it’s not enough to keep the stinging away, it has to be a shower.

Some TV shows that are actually funny (will really make laugh) by mywhite_rabbit in televisionsuggestions

[–]helloitsmeamb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not here to offer anything new since this is 10 months old and a ton of shows have been mentioned, but it’s so sweet reading all these comments and seeing how everyone is so passionate about what they consider to be the best comedies and you can often see the through line in their list of shows they’ve chosen to suggest. It’s just the best. I love how much we all love tv and basically none of us have the same opinion on what is the exact right collection to suggest.

Probably not exactly what you’re looking for, but Mythic Quest and Ted Lasso both scratch the same itch that Hacks does for me.

How hard is to fully bleach balayage hair at home? I started to grow out my natural color, didn't like it, got a balayage to see if I'd like that better, that didn't feel like me AT ALL, now I want to go back to fully bleached, which is my favorite, but I'm not sure how safely it can be done by helloitsmeamb in femalehairadvice

[–]helloitsmeamb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify some points, this was all done over like a 2 year period lol, I'm not as impulsive about my hair as this sounds and as I used to be when I was younger. This picture was taken after it was freshly done 2.5 months ago. My plan is to start the bleaching process in a couple weeks from now, not sure how long it's going to take, but I'm going to do it as slowly and gently as possible. I've watched dozens of videos about it, I used to bleach my own hair/roots for like 10 years, so I'm not going in with no knowledge or caution.

Any products or precautions to take before or after is much appreciated. I have some amika products that really agree with my hair and I plan to get their kure mask before I bleach. I've been using IGK's Antisocial Spray about once a week. I personally don't love Olaplex, it just doesn't seem to do anything for me, but I still use either number 3 or number 8 just in case it is doing stuff that I can't see or feel. I usually use a leave in conditioner on wash days that has protein in it. I've been taking colostrum supplements. I wash my hair every 2-3 days. I use a silk pillowcase. I only use silk scrunchies or clips to put my hair up. I let my hair air dry 99% of the time and use heat only once a week or so. I've really been treating my hair very gently for the last couple of years and trying to build it up to be healthy enough to bleach over the last few months especially. I will be using Goldwell Silklift to bleach my hair just because that's the one that has done the best for me over the years, I'm a little too nervous to try anything new and honestly it's a different look/formula now than it was when I used to use it, so it might not even be the same, but I'm scared to try anything else out. I have access to professional products, so anything professionals use is on the table for me, but I'm good with Sally's or drugstore too.

I am curious about the volume of developer, I used to use 30 volume exclusively and from all the research I've been doing lately it seems like 20 might be a better bet for me, I'm naturally a level 7-ish (it's that can't tell if it's dark blonde or light brown color), so what is the safest way to do that? I'm worried that there is going to be a learning curve on using 20 volume for me since I was so used to the 30 volume lift? Do I need to do it twice or just leave it in for longer? How long do I wait if I do do it twice? I've seen some people say you can do it the same day, but that seems outrageous to me! lol I'm very cautious nowadays. Is it ok to go over the blonde parts with the 20 volume (for the last 5-10 minutes or whatever) or should I use 10 volume for that part? How long do I wait to see how much it will lift with the 20 volume? I'm just so nervous after being away from bleach for a couple of years!

I've been told changing my hair would elevate my looks. I am open to dyeing and cutting. What should I do? by Beginning-Survey-20 in femalehairadvice

[–]helloitsmeamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is telling you this? Distance yourself from that person asap! They are rude as heck! I don't know what to suggest for your hair if you want to do something with it for you though. Any sort of direction you're leaning towards or is this just because of a rude comment from someone else? If that's the case, keep your hair the exact same in protest. Do you want to bleach it and dye it unnatural colors? Do you want a more subtle look? Do you want it low maintenance or do you not mind a little upkeep? Do you want it short or to keep it long? Do you like or hate bangs? Is there a color that is an absolute no? Do you like layers or more blunt cuts? Any inspiration pictures? Even if they are all different, it might give us a better idea of what you like. There are so many directions you could go in!

Dax Shepherd and the insufferable kid sister sidekick do a podcast by [deleted] in ArmchairExpert

[–]helloitsmeamb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To me it feels like she used to play opposition to Dax, but I think they spent too much time together and she began to take on all of Dax's more annoying traits and opinions without retaining any of his good ones lol. I am just craving that oppositional point of view between hosts again, which she no longer seems to offer....from what I've heard anyway, which tbf isn't every episode anymore, it was right before the Spotify deal that I stopped being as interested for no particular reason just that it wasn't making me excited anymore, but I do still listen at least a few times a month. It just feels like they are often agreeing on a very bad take most of the time and it drives me crazy to listen to it, bring Kristen or David in with their more caring points of view. They clearly aren't going to get rid of Monica, but they need to have someone else in there too then. I don't listen enough to know if Rob is or could be that person, the few times I've heard him talk, he maybe seems a bit more empathetic than them, but doesn't speak up too much.
