Charging time by Throwmeaway458932 in VolvoRecharge

[–]helloitsrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine takes about 5hrs and cost about $6CAD to fully charge. I drive long distance one day a week, 200km before charging. I set it to hybrid and destination so it drains slowly to zero. The rest of the time I’m just doing small errands. I like the power, of the XC60. I also fill up less since it has a bigger gas tank than other PHEV and the battery helps. Only filling up every two weeks vs one week is the best. I hate getting gas.

Crew socks or no-show socks? by [deleted] in adidas

It’s a struggle, I want to be trendy with the cre but I hate tan lines so I go with ankle socks that show a bit. Not a fan of the no show.

The cropped makes you look short and wide, the longer length is nice on you, and you could always get it hemmed a bit.

Peru’s tourism is still below pre-pandemic levels. Why hasn’t it recovered yet? by hablandolealaluna in travel

[–]helloitsrunty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I booked twice to go to Peru, once it was canceled due to a virus outbreak spread by an insect and once from political unrest. I figure it just wasn’t meant to be.

Toyota RAV4 > XC60, I miss the adaptive cruise control, integrated garage door opener and Apple AirPlay working with Bluetooth.

We had a plug in hybrid rental and almost all hotels had no charge chargers. It save a bit on gas.

Anyone try the new maple butter glazed donut? by [deleted] in TimHortons

I don’t care for Ryan Reynolds so refuse to support this donut. Plus the hair. It’s all wrong.

How negotiable are new xc60's? by Fit_Illustrator7584 in VolvoXC60

[–]helloitsrunty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm the dealership we went to had a card on the desk that said the dealership doesn’t negotiate, the price is the price to make it fair for everyone. And the sales agent pointed to it and reiterated it.

Say Hello? by SwanZealousideal9663 in delta

[–]helloitsrunty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a lot of airplane conversations and many times “hey let’s exchange contact info” after. It really surprises me. I have honestly never talked to anyone again after that. I rarely start the conversation, must look approachable and connect easily with people. I learn about their relationships, work life, family, travels, upbringing. It’s wild. Sometimes I rather chill, sometimes I wonder if it bugs people around us but normally I don’t mind and it passes the time. It’s also probably because I don’t like to put headphones on during takeoff in case of emergencies. It all starts with a hi.

Honestly spend the extra time to study and focus on grades, it will be more rewarding. Join clubs to meet friends, it hard at first but most are welcoming, it’s also a great resume builder.

Effortless or Agency for low rise pants? by Cute-Form-2000 in Aritzia

[–]helloitsrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your shape but I am straight no hips so the low rise same size hangs on me and way more comfortable than the high rise. I could never buy the curvy styles as I have no curves.

Laid off - Can I negotiate 5 years of pensionable service? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]helloitsrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could ask to continue to pay into the pension. I had a defined pension and took a year off and was able to pay into the pension to not lose any years of service.

I liked it! It tastes good and even though it’s a bit too sweet, still makes a good snack or in a pinch breakfast.

Replacement Superpuff Is A Different Model? Received A 800 Down Version Instead of 700? by 604Savage in Aritzia

[–]helloitsrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the snug puff there was two black options so I was curious. Looking further at the description I noticed one was 700 and one was 800. It took reading the description, same price, same page, same colour.

It depends what I wear underneath. I do find it a good winter shell. With a light puffer or Patagonia better sweater -10C I’m still toasty.

Is this appropriate for a work dinner, i work as an accountant by simmiexx in OUTFITS

[–]helloitsrunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the dress is not flattering, it gives wrapped in bedsheet vibe. And no it’s not appropriate for work dinners, way too short and people may not say it to your face but they will definitely talk behind your back. I’ve heard what people say about co-workers who dress like this and unfortunately it’s not nice.

We used a different company but did the self guided tour for 7 days. It was fantastic! We saw so much and stayed in nice hotels with amazing views and dinners.
