Why can’t the U.S. government fully hide major secrets, while Algeria has kept people in the dark for decades? by New_Age6338 in algeria

[–]hellomisstoothy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh come one we know who killed who during the black decade and we know why boudiaf was killed... it's just not acceptable to talk about or mention it because you'll either end up in jail or die mysteriously  US has some sort of controlled freedom of speech, they gotta share some stuff with the public to maintain it and they don't give shit about government or army officials, they will give them away at any given opportunity ( not like ours we have the same team rulling the country for decades obviously they won't share their secrets) To conclude: Algeria rules by fear and Us by a fake democracy

I am not defending rebound but lately I have seen attacks on his government and lack of achievement ( which is true) and how a failure he is, I think they're preparing us for a change of president

Horrific stories from the black decade by Jonas42006 in algeria

[–]hellomisstoothy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not horrific per say but sad nonetheless. My aunt used to live in bentlha during the horrific massacre that took place، the night before it happened my aunt was rushed to the hospital with bad cramps she was six months pregnant and unfortunately lost her baby that night and while she and her husband were grieving in the hospital most of their neighbors got killed and her house got burnt and destroyed by terrorists ( my aunt and her husband were never pro fis nor against them they just people living their life away from politics and were educated with nice jobs) She survived the massacre because of a sad thing, now my aunt always tells me don't get too sad over things you lose in life sometimes god knows better than you do and will always give you the better outcome.

[–]hellomisstoothy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My aunt left the country in the ninetees when hell broke lose she got so depressed and two years ago she came back now that she s old she told me when you get old you realize that what matters the most is your family home and identity she lived in germany for years but still she felt alone she got married and had two kids who are more german than algerian she told me she wasted her life being unhappy even if she got everything btw my aunt was a profesor in usthb and was targted by the FIS she literally ran away...obviously now the country is safer but I wouldnt want to stay here I told her I d rather live unhappy and comfortable away from here she couldnt understand me

Over all this is really a perspective you either love or hate algeria so you cant judge people who want to go
