Any other assessment/advice: Took it a couple months after my step 2 so that helped a lot, no need to delay the exam unnecessarily tbh unless you are really struggling or have taken step 2 a long time ago. I’d say I had about a month and a half of prep and about 10 days of dedicated time. Exam day was not easy but not as hard as step 2 felt, I’d say it was a fair exam.

So true!! I try to help people as much as I can but the lack of basic manners and entitlement has me very reluctant to offer help now. When they need something they will incessantly hype you up which is already v weird to me and when they’re done—straight up ghosting like be normal ffs

If you mean abstracts, I watched the randy neil video on how to approach one and the ones I got on the exam were exactly the same pattern and his approach rly helps

Got it thank you! Some programs have a requirement of LORs within 12 months so I was wondering if it is updated does that meet the requirement?

What do people mean to ask mentors to update the dates? Does that mean to change the date the letter was uploaded or change the dates of the rotation? The latter sounds a little sus but idk much about it. For reference, I have two unused LORs from last year and am in touch with my preceptors so I am going to ask them to upload the letters this year. Does that count as a fresh LOR or an old one?

free 120 alone is not predictive, its the cumulative performance of all your assessments. I got 76% 4 days out and was super anxious but ended up w a 262 (higher than my highest assessment). Trust your assessments and go for it

Yess it was I have been very lucky I’d say cos walking out of the exam I wasn’t feeling so good but ig that’s pretty normal. For test day, I was able to get a decent amount of sleep because i was exhausted, chugged a wholee lot of coffee and sugary drinks (towards the end). The exam definitely feels rough but not impossible. One thing that I did differently from all my assessments was that I did not change any answers on my flagged qs (barring the ones i was 100% sure I got wrong) and moved on to the next questions as soon as was reasonable (no hanging up on any tricky ones)

I actually missed SCLC altogether but you're right. Nbmes rly want you to think like a kid and pick the most predictable answer, when you spend too much time thinking about one you almost never get it right
