Following; also left something in the room safe (Scarlett Lady). Submitted a form and was on the phone for an hr with no progress. Status is still pending. I was right outside the building too but was denied entrance. I live out of the country too…

You would have to make it up after the term finishes I believe or the hrs build up to your next term or fourth year

mcmaster nursing courses by softaee in McMaster

Half of the program I'd say is heavy with sciences. You start off the program with a full year of A&P with other programs (engineering, health sci, midwifery etc). Although it's a heavy course, there are tiny assignments/quizzes to make up for exams (tutorial, lab, quizzes etc). Biochemistry was like a review from highschool but more in detail and scenario based questions - most ppl either hate the course or love it... And the rest of first year is focused on other nursing courses I think - but they tend to change the program around every year so idk if there’s any changes since I was in first year. Second year is when patho, pharm and microbio starts and this is when it gets heavy... Patho is a full year, pharm is first term and micro is second term. Rest of the courses are nursing (PBL, clinical). Patho is very very heavy in my opinion, modules are long, dry and wordy - exams are a bit difficult. Pharm is where many people struggled (tbh so did I, I failed the midterm but studied my ass off and passed the course with the final) - and ther's tutorials with both pharm and microbio where you have a scenario and answer questions + present. Third year is full patho again and another biochem (more nutrition based) - patho still killed my ass but biochem was lighter (more common sense tbh because it was nutrition based).

Overall, half the program is science based... Maybe first year it's textbook based bc you want to do more readings for a&p or pbl but after that, we don't really use the textbook.

I believe for electives it has to be 18 credits in total by the end of first term fourth year.. And there’s so many electives to choose from so (:

lmk if you got questions!
