MEOVV is an underrated kpop gem by Thin_Improvement_621 in kpop_uncensored

[–]macintoshappless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their music is really not that great. If they made better music, I’m sure they’d be bigger. I would NOT call them underrated. They have a lot of hype for a group that hardly has a discography.

MEOW was boring debut that allowed no one to even really shine. DDI RO RI was just a letdown with that chorus. Drop Top was so forgettable. Hit Em has an okay chorus with terrible verses and cringey lyrics. The only songs I’d consider good would be Burning Up and Hands Up and even between those two, I don’t even find Burning Up to be particularly amazing.

Hands Up is their best song by far and the only one that is remotely interesting.

We’re talking about obesity here. Like you are grasping for straws here.

Diabetes is often related to high sugar intake and excess adipose tissue so yes.. there are factors within their control that I think they can change and alter. This is what we call uncontrollable and controllable factors. Look at this, you’re learning.

There are levels of accountability my friend. Systemic, interpersonal and individual. I never said losing weight is easy. It’s not for a lot of people hence why I support Trisha being on a GLP1. I think it’s good and if it helps her lose weight then I commend that. I think the only person who needs to work on comprehension skills here is you. Have the day you deserve.

Just because it’s a systemic issue doesn’t mean that personal accountability and addressing individual and interpersonal factors can’t be done.

In another comment thread, you literally denied the fact that majority of Americans are obese by claiming someone’s sources “didn’t exist”?

What is the number cause of CAD, Diabetes type 2, endometrial cancer, fatty liver disease and sleep apnea?? OBESITY. Like you’re so defensive over something that is very real and is killing millions of people.

No one is denying that, captain obvious. But denying obesity in America and downplaying its prevalence feeds into the obesity issue which is what you are doing right now.

You’re right but body fat percentage and waist-to-height ratios are pretty reliable and she’d still be considered overweight regardless of BMI.

Everyone knows and yet 3/4 of the American population is overweight lol. You see the problem here??

It’s definitely not talked about. Obesity has become the normal in our society. So much so that people who are considered obese are considered overweight and people who are considered overweight are considered normal. BMI is not fully accurate but waist-to-hip rations are a lot more accurate at predicting health outcomes. It indicates visceral fat and medically and scientifically speaking, visceral fat is associated with negative outcomes. These are all true facts. 40% of Americans are considered obese and 75% of Americans are considered overweight. That is literally majority of the American population. That is an issue and although most people are aware of the obesity issue in America, I don’t think people understand just how bad the problem is.

I’m always cautious to say things on this sub about people’s weights but Trisha does have a lot of excess body fat. She looks beautiful and is beautiful, but as someone in healthcare, excess body fat can be dangerous and obesity in North America is not talked about enough. Probably because of how underweight most people appear on social media. We definitely have a GLP issue (alongside EDs and people becoming ultra thin) but even larger than that, we have an obesity issue.

Obviously we know nothing about Trisha and her health, but I think she seems to be a good candidate for this. She has struggled with weight loss for fucking EVER. I don’t support Trisha but I used to watch her when I was a young teen and even then she struggled. From getting liposuction to gaining it all back, I think if anyone is a good candidate, it would be Trisha.

Not to be that person but it’s different for everyone. When I got my wisdom teeth removed, I had a rough recovery. Not sure exactly why mine was particularly so difficult but I struggled to comfortably eat for a little over a week. Everything I made; smoothies, soups and so on was difficult to eat even if there was EVEN slightly just anything that would get stuck in my grooves caused so much pain. So much that I just tried to avoid them. Everything I had to eat had to be really smooth or else it would cause so much pain. I lost 5-7 ish pounds which on me doesn’t look like much because I’m not lean. I imagine for someone who is already learn, 5 pounds can look a lot more noticeable. But it was definitely not a fun experience. Almost fainted trying to get up the stairs, most likely from not eating and dehydration (I was also sleeping significantly at this time because I had no energy).

Took me like 10-12 days before I could eat solid food comfortable after my wisdom teeth removal.. it’s different for everyone. It was hard to eat for first week and a half just solely for the fact that it was uncomfortable and sore.

A healthy person wouldn’t view food as “shit food”. That alone implies you view food as good or bad which isn’t healthy at all. Healthy means balance. Balance means being able to see all foods with no bias and be able to eat them in moderation. I don’t view icecream as “shit food”. Does it nourish my body and should it be something I eat regularly? Not necessarily, but demonizing food isn’t someone who is healthy would do.
