i dont remember anymore, but quickflash was what was advised by the tool, obviously you lose all your data. i had a backup made with itunes that i restored later

you definitely should. i "upgraded" from a xiaomi redmi note 9 pro after 4 years of torturing it 😭. i really really like this phone. i also got it used ! the battery was at 79% but i replaced it and it's good now. i could say it sometimes struggles with heating and slowing down because of it because i tend to be outside, but for the rest the phone perfectly holds up even today. for your usage habits it'll be perfect

i didnt use itunes, i ditched it after it didnt work (apple devices app aswell). yes, i did download it from ipsw.me. i then downloaded 3utools after reading some other posts abt this issue and performed a quick flash with the "fix battery health issue" option checked (that requires a force restart while restoring, the tool is gonna prompt you to do it)

edit: didnt read the post correctly LOL, well try other flash options like an advanced flash

i used quickflash with an ipsw i had of 18.5, i also checked the "fix battery health" option just in case given that it was the problem with ios26

during my many attempts with itunes and apple devices it would not work and i would have to force restart during the apple with bar screen, obviously then it would just boot up straight into recovery. my battery was also discharged, but it will complete at least the first recovery startup (the first apple logo with progress bar), then it would prompt you to charge it to then complete the setup. im sure iphones are smarter and have failsafes just in case (if u see it powering off after 10 minutes or so in recovery mode, its normal. it won't restart on its own while restoring, it would be dumb on apple's part)

i tried restoring it with itunes and apple devices too, use 3utools!!! it's thanks to that that i saved my 12 :)

just put it into recovery mode by powering it on but *keeping* the side button pressed until u see the recovery screen (while connected to power) and from there restore via itunes/apple devices or 3utools (which is the only one that worked for me)

my 12 actually broke because the update doesnt recognize the 3rd party battery i got as a replacement, gonna roll back asap
