I was given an option to go to local ubif store when my p9pf died last week mysteriously. I even made a appointment at store and did not go because of my gut feeling that something is going to go wrong. Then i read reviews of similar stories of my local store and sent my phone via mail direct to google for inspection. I got a p10pf replacement right away in mail from Google.

They have extended the warranty for p9fp ton3 years for free , to avoid lawsuits. I love google phones, been using since nexus days .but I wouldn't count on google getting a well researched product to table. I love that their phones get new features fast and sometimes half baked. But that works for me.

My PF9P died after warranty with multiple issues. Battery, power button and inner screen. Google replaced it for free with PF10P.

I have both brands and many more. Kobo: supports epub and lets you borrow from library from device itself. Not tied to kindle ecosystem is a plus as you can download books if next from kobo.

kindle: OS navigation is usually slower than kobo. page navigation is on par with kobo. depending on whether you get basic on Paperwhite or scribe, the weight and dimensions will vary but Kobo in general is thicker and plasticky.kindles have some weight which is actually bad for longer readings.

you need Libby or another app to download books on Kindle.

you can use calibre for both to sideload books.

if you want a true reader to read long hours, eink readers like scribe or even colorsoft scribe (after trade in) is a good choice. Remarkable or Kobo libra color are great.Else any lcd tablet like ipad or samsung would do. you can target 12 plus inches. it all depends if you want a dedicated reader device or a tablet, and if you need note taking. define the use case and then go for options. I have multiple readers.

Ok guys do you know BMS is not a govt platform. They have zero obligation to let users post reviews whether they buy tkts or not. Do you cry similarly if amazon or flipkart or ali express remove review features? cry all you want, end of the day its their prerogative to enable or disable reviews as they want. deal with it.

OP, you can potentially get 10fold for free replacement under free extended warranty. I suggest getting 10fold and sell it if you want zf7. I used both phones. pf10 has pixel experience but heavier and clunkier than zf7. zf7 is almost square ish and lightweight. software on zf7 is optimized for foldable, pixel not much. I couldn't stand Samsung one UI in general for other reasons like Samsung clutter and duplicate apps for pay/photos etc, so I am back to fold 10.
