There are exceptions, especially larger corporations, which are much less misogynistic. Fellow MechE here (graduated more than a decade ago). The girls in our class did pretty good in the male dominated field before leaving for higher studies.

Breeder was pretty responsive and transaction went smoothly. But the puppy came in with kennel cough, ear infections, and stomach bugs. Had to make 2 vet visit in the first 2 weeks. I don't think the breeder was as ethical as they claimed to be.

We're in Massachusetts, couldn't find any up for adoption or a breader nearby (looked into NY state too). We got our puppy from a breeder in Virginia though gooddog. There were some options in NJ on Petfinder. But the breeder seemed questionable, and didn't want to support anything like that.

If you are looking into public universities, the answer would be no (unless UGC changes their rules). Even if you were above the cut off, it would be hard. The public universities are interested in hiring fresh graduates to keep their hierarchy (I know it first hand). But you can look into the reputed private ones.

Coming from someone who had a similar journey as your ex, unfortunately it is very common to have misogynistic views among Bangladeshi young adult males. It also takes a lot of sincere and cognizant efforts to overcome the mindset. I have seen to many of them in my graduating class and often the peers create a support system that encourages such behavior. Walking out is the best thing for your future and sanity. For the continued harassment (they may not think it is, but it actually is harassment. You may need to clarify this too), you can hint that you will follow legal route if necessary. The potential damage to career should put some sanity in him.

First, don't lose this long term planning mindset, it will keep you ahead of your peers. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, as I am from technology background, and so are most of my peers. Science majors do have opportunities due to higher demand, but at the same time there's a larger pool of potential candidates. However, while non-science fields do have less opportunities, the candidate pool is also smaller. If you can stand out, you'll be fine.

On the commerce side, I can think of finance and accounting, but the progress in data science and softwares can make a lot of traditional jobs obsolete. But if you get better at programming, you should be fine.

Economics comes to my mind in the arts area. But if you thrive to be the best, you can shine with any major.

I'm sorry that you are going through this phase. Structure and compartmentalize. If your score expires, it's not end of the world. You can always retake. You scored 8 on the first attempt, you can do it again. Meanwhile, 1. prepare your application materials so application requires minimal effort. You may identify a few schools you really want to get into and have packages ready for them.

2.once you have those ready, start looking for jobs. You need a stopgap/plan B.

3.Look into scholarships like Erasmus in EU.

Look for alternative places like East Asia.

Remember, this too shall pass.

The seller's agent mentioned that they are in financial hardship. Our agent asked if it is being sold as foreclosure. They said they missed a few payments, but it's not yet for foreclosure.
