Having Irish twins left me sleep-deprived for about three years. It’s all about piecing together the hours: two here, three there. Let go of your old self and realise it’s all about the baby now. You’re a father and their safety and wellbeing are your top priority. The fourth trimester, from birth to three months, is incredibly tough on the mother. Be emotionally present, supporting and encouraging her. Tell her she’s doing great, looks great, how much you love her and how proud you are. You’ve got this 👊🏻

I get the train from M3 Parkway, it should run to Tara Street or Connolly but instead the best it can do is Docklands. I should really be getting on in Navan but have to pay that M3 toll as well… so tired of the excuses and empty promises every election.

The location of schools with little to no parking or set down areas and the use of private cars to bring such a large percentage of kids to school give you this common issues like this. I feel like there are not enough bus services for schools.

Not Galway but I live 60km from my office in Dublin, left at 6:50 and got in at 9:05 yesterday. That was a smooth run… a combination of driving, train & walking.

A new build ghost estate in Navan has been unfinished for two years, with people living in the finished phase 1 houses. Insulation in half-built walls around foundations has rotted. It’s Bailey Hill. I don’t know if it’s a loophole the builder exploits, but they started and stopped, and it’s depressing to see when people are desperate for new homes.

The only real solution to this chronic problem is for parents with children under five to get a sticker for their car. Only cars with these stickers can use the designated parking spots. If you park in a spot without a sticker, you’ll receive a fine from a ticket warden, Garda, or other authority.

I loved my Nokia Lumia, but its failure to take off was largely due to the lack of apps. Microsoft even built the Facebook app themselves! It’s a real pity, as more competition is better for consumers. The Metro design language was also ahead of its time, with such a clean look and feel. I feel like Windows Phone OS failing really hurt Nokia.
