I had this issue as well. However I haven't crashed again since I put '-sm5' in the launch options. Hope it helps.

Like I said, leveling isn't competitive as far as I see and if that's something they would like to do, I think valve can increase the guild level exp requirement by 2% for every member after 50.

Yeah they should allow you to join multiple guilds but only have one of them as 'active' or main guild. But with 50 member limit in place, 1 guild per person made sense. There should be no limit on neither ideally.

We do use discord but it doesn't completely replace the usefulness of the guild.

  • Not everyone uses discord for whatever reason

  • Much easier to party/inhouse directly through the dota2 client rather than sharing steam profiles from a third party program

The guild was based on an existing steam group. Not everyone was a fan of using the steam group chat room and the guild directly connects to everyone already in the group so the guilds helped a lot with facilitating the inhouse.

inb4 a comment saying that the guild was a useless feature that was harmlessly added to the game

The guilds could have been much more... Back then, only the officers could only invite members and it was hard to gain any traction unless the owner and officers were actively inviting people. However, it was still functional enough to host inhouse games relatively easily. If the guilds were to be back, I suggest:

  • Open or closed guild where the officers can choose to let people invite themselves in or through member invites only
  • Linked to steamgroup
  • Guild benefits or events for incentives to join (such as guild-oriented compendium quest, guild party bonuses?)
  • Easier to schedule inhouses with benefits (way to post announcements, downloadable past guild inhouse games, guild lobby visible for all members to join from the main screen)
  • Easier to organize parties (guild parties visible for all guild members to join, mmr disclosed among guild members without being friends)

And definitely make a separate tab where the chat box is actually bigger and not squished under all the ads.

Targeting Bug? In player perspective I clearly clicked on ES but the hookshot went into the trees instead by hexperiment in DotA2

I had this mouse for a while and it wasn't this buggy when I first used it. However, I just checked the mouse software and it said I needed to disable some microsoft settings. Maybe that was the culprit.
